Well. I am in more pain now
I had a fallen arch. Was told Dr Southernland was “the arch guy” for the office. Well. The guide wire got stuck in my bone and now I have shards all over my foot. The screw is now backing out of my bone and the ball of my foot no longer touches the floor which means I walk along the outside of my foot now causing my calf to cramps and pain all through my calf and outside of my ankle and foot. I walk with a slant and. Can’t find shoes that don’t give way and make my foot go off the side as like I said I now walk on the outside of my foot. I can’t walk far without the calf getting so tight that it cramps for hours. My foot and calf spasms all day and night now. My foot and bottom leg swell so bad I have to use compression socks now. Up to you but I wouldn’t let him do surgery on me had someone told me this story before. Waste of 7000.00 and I’ve also gained 30 lbs as I can’t walk normal or distances.

I have already recommended my friends and family to Dr. Southerland. He did surgery on my foot last year and I had an exceptionally great experience. I am now walking pain free! I had a great experience with the staff. I was always seen at the time my appointment was scheduled. inwould highly recommend Dr. Southerland!

Dr. Southerland is gentle, informative about conditions, options and expected outcomes, and willing to listen to patient's concerns about the options. Three surgeries for four circumstances have been successful and we return each time based on the care level received for prior needs.

Appt with Dr Joe Southerland 7 weeks ago for plantar fascitis. He gave me a steroid injection in my heel. I asked him 3 times before doing it, to please numb it. He said there was nothing to numb it with. The injection was the most painful injection I have ever received in 60 years. He saw my pain and said nothing, The plantar fascitis remains.The injection location pain however, is still far worse than the plantar fascitis.. No excuse for this after 7 weeks.
