My experience with Dr. Gold saved my life. I didn't see how I spiralling out of control until my close friends rallied around me and connected me with Dr. Gold. He is patient and kind and helped me enormously. I am back at work and happy in my relationship (I even got a promotion!) I know I have to continue to work at staying healthy but he gave me the tools to do that.

I have seen Dr. Joel Gold twice a week for over three years. He is a kind and wise psychiatrist. He has helped me enormously with my symptoms of depression and anxiety. He sees me not just as a patient but as a person. I only wish I had met Dr. Gold 15 years earlier!

While he listens very carefully, he recommended a line of treatment that isn't aligned with modern evidence based best practices, and a second and third opinion disagreed with him. He's too comfortable prescribing daily benzos despite their potentially addictive nature. He also doesn't take any insurance and is the most expensive psychiatrist I've ever heard of, charging $10+ per minute.
