Dr. Joel Goode, MD

I strongly urge anyone considering Dr. Joel Goode as a primary care physician to think twice. My experience with him has been nothing short of frustrating, dismissive, and downright unprofessional.From the very beginning, I felt like I was being talked down to rather than treated like a partner in my own health care. Instead of addressing the concerns I brought forward, Dr. Goode seemed determined to steer every conversation in the direction he wanted, even when it was irrelevant. For example, with one of my medications for managing peripheral neuropathy , he repeatedly fixated on anxiety which happens to be one of the things it can be prescribed for— but is something I didn’t feel was a significant issue for me. Making me feel like my records are showing I have an anxiety issue that I don't. This pattern of diverting attention to irrelevant issues made it feel like he wasn’t listening or caring about my actual concerns.It didn’t help that every appointment seemed geared toward ups

I've been one of Dr. Goode's patience for 8 years. This is an excellent doctor, probably the best I've ever had and I am 59.

I have been many times over the years and I trust Dr. Goode's advice and treatments. He is direct and concise in his exams and recommendations, which I appreciate.

I have been using Dr. Goode since 1998. He is a caring, compassionate physician who takes the time to listen. My adult children still use him. We have referred several people to him and they all share our opinion.

I only saw Dr. Goode because my regular doctor in the same practice is on maternity leave. What a mistake! Appointment was very rushed, did not check heart, ears, throat, etc like a doctor typically does at every appointment. I had an upcoming surgery scheduled until Dr. Goode felt it was not safe for me to go through with at this time and had me call my surgeon's office while there so he could speak to them. While I do feel that Dr. Goode had my health in mind and and appreciated the education, it was the way in which he did it that really bothered me. His bedside manner was very condescending and belittling. When on the phone with my surgeon's office he asked if he was speaking to a nurse and the person responded that they were a "medical assistant" and he said, "Eh, close enough, you can call yourself a nurse." Those are not close to the same thing - becoming a nurse requires much more extensive training and education. I will likely switch practices because of this appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joel Goode for nearly 2 decades; and there is a reason I keep coming back. Dr. Goode overseas the management of my healthy. He is intelligent, kind, extremely experienced, listens well and helps me towards a joint decision.

I've been a patient for less than a year. I've seen Dr. Goode twice and have always felt he is genuinely concerned with my well being and health. The office staff and nurses wirh whom I've dealt have always been professional and courteous.

Dr. Goode has been my PCP for years now, and I've always appreciated his care.

I don't care driving a little more because I know Dr. Goode cares about me. He always listens and gives me the best honest advise. The BEST doctor you can find....period!

Dr. Goode is excellent! His focus on improving/sustaining my health is impressive. He is excellent in listening and understanding my questions, explaining his responses, and then sharing a plan of care to address my questions/concerns. He is all busisness...but with a excellent wry sense of humor and personality that is engaging and much appreciated.

Dr Joel Goode has been our family doctor for so many years. I trust in his judgement, treatment and knowledge. He listens carefully and answers all the questions I have. He always knows what is the best for his patients. I feel so lucky to have him as our doctor.

Dr. Goode is very warm and easy-going, but most importantly, he investigates your health issue thoroughly. That's what makes me trust him above all other doctors. You just know you are getting the best medical care available when you see him.

Doctor Goode is caring, thorough and does not make you feel rushed in any way.

Excellent visit with Dr. Goode. As a new patient and Senior Citizen, he was able diagnose my health issues and put me on a game plan for recovery.

As a new patient, I was able to quickly schedule an appointment for my yearly physical. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with both Joel and his staff as they completely took away all anxiety. My visit with Dr. Goode was nothing short of impressive. He actually listened to all of my concerns, prescribed a few desired meds after he completely explained their value, and completed his physical exam. Just a great overall experience top to bottom. I had a number of health concerns to discuss with Dr Goode. He was quick to remedy what was most likely causing several and prescribed an over the counter medication and suggested a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Very thorough and down to earth approach. I would recommend Dr Good to my friends and family.

Dr. Goode is always professional and friendly, as is the staff at Brushy Creek Family Physicians. Dr. Goode always makes you feel better...even when you feel your worse! He has made the video appointments easy and informative. I highly recommend Dr. Joel Goode and his practice.
