Dr. Joel Hillelsohn, MD

During a scope of my bladder he began exclaiming, “I’ve never seen so much explanation. I don’t know what could cause that. I have to go look it up.” So he left me there with the catheter still in me. I don’t even want to hear someone say such a thing about my car let alone my body. Nor did he ever explain why he freaked out—and clearly he did. In fact, his replies to my questions were brusk and long in coming. Mostly I was fobbed off on the nurse practitioner who, significantly, is no longer there. I recommend avoiding this person if possible.

Dr. Hillelsohn is an outstanding and compassionate doctor. He listens to your concerns and offers excellent advice. After surgery he was great at answering any and all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. The surgery went well and I am very pleased with Dr. Hillelsohn.

very dismissive of complications after a surgical procedure. had to contact the nurse practitioner to get any treatment. seemed to be annoyed at the fact that I was trying to contact him despite being in pain.

After 2 years of being treated by Dr. Hillelsohn my recovery is complete. I am now able to go about my daily routine without a constant need to find a toilet, I can sleep through the night, and most importantly, I regained my confidence and I can socialize as I did before I developed my prostate condition (incontinence).I have never met a more professional and empathetic practitioner as Dr. Hillelsohn, and that goes for all of his team as well.Dr. Hillelsohn also kept his promise to me and I do not suffer from ED after all the procedures I went through. :-)

Dr. Hillelsohn is the best urologist! I can write a book as to why. here's only a few examples but there are so many more. Dr. Hillelsohn is very patient. He really takes his time to get know you and understand your needs. Dr. Hillelsohn is very caring and compassionate. You immediately will trust him and see how genuine he really is. Also, immediately he will always see you as a very valued patient. Dr. Hillelsohn will immediately remember your name - first and last name and what your needs and circumstances are without even needing to look at his notes or any charts, etc. If you need to leave him a message, he will definitely call you back that day. Also, he is extremely knowledgeable and always knows exactly what you need. I can go on and on about Dr. Hillelsohn! My best advice to you is if you want the best urologist, Dr. Hillelsohn is definitely the doctor for you. You will never regret it! You too will be writing him a raving review.

A good experience. Even though every waiting room chair (six feet apart) was taken at first, the entire process ran very smoothly and was very organized. Unlike other places where they stick you in a room and you wait and wait, looking around, wondering when they are going to get there, they keep things moving.
