Careless doctor, does not actively treat any condition, does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Does not think helping you is "medically necessary". Refuses to put in any orders that have potential to make you well.

Routine 6-month checkup

I had three appointments total with Dr. Swanson and the third appointment will have been my last because of the unprofessionalism, rudeness, and apathy experienced from this doctor. He never looks at you. He never listens to you. He just seems disinterested in everything. For my third visit, I brought my wife along because I thought maybe I was crazy how I felt about my two prior visits. I can tell you, my wife was absolutely shocked at this doctor’s behavior, how he spoke to me, and the fact that it in the middle of a conversation he said he had to go because he didn’t like the questions I was asking, which were questions about my health. I do not expect to be coddled by anybody, including my doctor. However, I do expect some level of courtesy, professionalism, and maybe even faking some sort of interest in why I am there to see him and questions that I might have.

Dr Swanson takes the time to listen to your concerns, and provides valuable, thoughtful feedback. I’ve been going to him for years and he just keeps getting better!

He pays attention, knows a lot, keeps up-to-date, explains the medical jargon used, takes great notes and follows up on issues. Easy to talk to and quickly earns your trust.

Dr Swanson has been my doctor for several years after my previous doctor retired. He listens to me and provides excellent health care. I trust his judgment and will continue to consult with him as my primary care physician.

Dr. Swanson is very knowledgeable and professional. The appointment started on time and Dr Swanson got right to the point at issue, adjusted my meds and sent me to the lab for a blood draw. Everything moved quickly and smoothly.

Dr. Swanson spent a good deal of time getting to know me and my medical problems. Being on the downhill slide to 80, I have a few. I didn’t feel rushed. My only comment is as asked to have my RXs sent in. That got dropped threw the crack and I had to call a few days later.

First and Only visit..Dr. Swanson wheeled his computer into the room and began asking me robotic questions from a form. I was offered his silhouette and rarely did he look at me. He did not appear to listen, but when he did, he found fault with what I was saying. This doubt-disbelief happened seven times. His disrespect even extended to my age, as if I am old and feeble saying, ’at your age’, ‘a person of your age’, ‘since you’re over 60’. I have been on a compounded script for years that works for me. He did not believe it was necessary, refused to listen, refused to research, refused to order the blood-work..saying he won't know how to interpret it. What kind of a physician does that? I want intelligent dialogue with my physician, who will partner on health decisions, who will listen and believe, who has an openness to alternative options other than scripts for symptoms and who has a willingness to explore current medical research. Sadly, I believe he cannot fulfill this!
