Dr. Joel Weinberger, DO

Dr. Weinberger is a pusher of new medicines. He disregards patient conditions and refuses to prescribe older and proven medicines for new meds that cause more side effects than they cure. This is only because he gets paid more for new med scripts than the old ones that are proven and safe. In his smug arrogance he ignores drug interaction with patient scripts and downplays any possible side effects. He then prescribes more new meds to handle side effects. He has been caught lying, or being just plain ignorant, about meds and treatments and if there is any violation of doctor and patient trust it is comes from his lies. I do not trust him anymore. If you want good treatment then go elsewhere. I only hope he experiences half of the suffering he has put on his patients over the years.

Do not waste your time, money and effort to see Dr. Weinberger! He is very rude and does not care about patients. He even said, 'I am too old to see more patients, if you do not like me, then you can see and find other doctors.' Seriously!? What kind of doctor says this to his patient? Unbelievable! After this visit, we are not going back to see this doctor ever and would not recommend him to others.

Dr Weinberger has been our family physician for over 30 years. He takes his time with us and listens. He has recommend specialist for me that are as awesome as he is!

He goes above and beyond

Been seeing this doctor for two years; this doctor is always in a rush; he calls you in after blood work just to tell you everything is fine; wants to see you every time you need refills; he does not have electronic records so he fumbles trying to fine records in your charts; very rude doctor too. would not recommend.

He’s been my Doctor for 25 years! He’s seen me through the best and worst years of my life! I wouldn’t consider seeing anyone else!

I have been going to this office for over 20 years and have always received acceptional service and kindness from both the staff and the providers. The scheduler Erica is very kind and accommodating! Their new Dr, Jennifer Lin is also amazing and I would recommend her to everyone! I will never switch doctors offices. They have my complete trust.

This guy is an idiot. I broke my ankle on 8/7/18, the hospital said that I need an orthopedic, and because of insurance I need a referral. He doesn't have any time to see me until 8/20/18. So he basically wants me to go 13 days with a broken ankle before he sees me to give me a Referal. This guy and his office are the most inhumane people ever. They are willing to neglect their patience with out any regard for their safety! Stay away!!

Dr. Weinberger is absolutely the best family doctor in Central Florida. I've been seeing him for the better part of 20 years; I moved to Haines City a few years ago and he's still my primary care physician. I'm even considering moving back to St. Petersburg in the near future and I'll probably keep him as my primary doctor. When you find a doctor this good you don't let go of him/her.

The nurse practitioners are great! The office staff is very friendly, and the office is always clean. Dr. Weinberger however is extremely rude and always in a rush, and it's worse if he isn't even prepared for you. God forbid you are over weight because each time you go in, whatever the problem, it will have been caused by your weight. I go ONLY to see the nurse practitioners because each time I see him, I leave the office in tears.

Very rude doctor. I saw him twice and was unprepared to see me, he had to walk out of the room 3 times!

I was a patient until I moved from Florida. I'm moving back to Florida and would go back to Dr. Weinberger again. I loved the office staff, the PA's and Dr. Weinberger. I got the best care there. I trusted them completely.
