I have gone to New West & Optum for almost 30 years. The doctors have been very good. However, the latest reorganization and office staffing is bad. Individually the older, long term staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. With the turnover and addition of many new faces the confusion abounds. Fiasco's like the on-line portal upgrade was awful. All this for me points to mismanagement of the practice at the expense of care delivered to patients. I switched to get more focused, immediate and less confusing care. PS the local office does not manage the practice!!!

Very good person to person but I am on controlled substances for pain control. Palliative care NP has difficulty reaching Dr. Freedman who doesn?t respond to her messages. Palliative NP has had to write emergency Rx until we can finally reach Dr. Freedman.
