Dr. John Callaghan, MD

I have had a number of health issues in the past that have required me to see various doctors, but my experience with Dr. Callaghan was truly exceptional. Doc was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explain my options. He made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. His clinical assistants were also top-notch. They were always friendly, attentive, and responsive to my needs. Dr. Callaghan performed surgery on my knee, and the results were phenomenal. He walked me through the entire process, from pre-op to post-op, and answered all of my questions along the way. His bedside manner was excellent, and he made me feel at ease during a stressful time. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Callaghan to anyone in need of orthopedic care. His expertise, professionalism, and outstanding clinical assistants make him a true standout in his field. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to receive care from him.

Dr. Callaghan is one of the most caring physicians I have met. He is very well versed in the latest research and data. He truly cares about the well being of his patients and is a great listener. I can not recommend Dr. Callaghan enough for fracture care.

Dr. Callaghan is the worst Orthopedic doctor we have ever encountered, and trust me we have seen many!! He misdiagnosed the problem which left us in a terrible position. He does not care about his patients and claims there is no need to see them in the hospital. His office staff is rude and not helpful whatsoever. If you care about your health or the health of a loved one stay far far far away from this doctor and his office!

I had a very bad break after being thrown from a horse. It’s been 2 years. No pain. No arthritis. Skiing and riding again after 1 year He is a great surgeon and a great bedside manner. I highly recommend him. Academy Orthopedics Wayne

Did not get an appointment. I called the office and gave them all of my information. She promised to call me back and never did. I called around 12 on 3/26 and never heard from her again. Poor patient services. Ended the call abruptly. I am thankfuwasn't

Dr. Callaghan performed a Mako robotic assisted total knee replacement in March of 2019. The surgery went perfect. I was released the next day and after a couple of months of physical therapy, my knee was great! I would highly recommend him for surgery, as he is comfortable, confident and easy to work with. I am scheduling my other knee for next month. Just met with Doc again and look forward to a highly improved knee soon!

Dr callaghan is the best orthopedic doctor ever.i Saw doctor one year ago this past april when i broke 3 Bones in my leg and dislocated my knee from a fall. Hé took Care of me for a long time from the hospital Stay to follow up visits to ordering physical therapy each time hé was expert in his knowledge and Care of injuries he also is kind compassionate caring takes his time with you and really cares about your physical and emotional needs. Today i Saw him becausevi had two more falls. Both my knees were hurting i was having Trouble walking i was crying depressed. Hé did xrays of Both knees thank god cartilage is good but i have arthritis in Both knees worse in previously injured knee i dont tolerate antiinflamatories so hé had his pa give me cortisone shots in each knee then gave me cream to apply to Both knees for pain then i said i was worried i Hurt my pelvic bone in fall hé xray that and said everything was stable hé was so reassuring and so comforting hé really cares thank you

Dr. Callaghan surgically repaired my fractured fibula. He was great about answering all my questions and following up. And he was very realistic about setting expectations for rehab and recovery. Excellent doctor!

Dr. Callaghan was my surgeon after a traumatic accident that injured both my legs. I received high quality care from the skilled hands of Dr. Callaghan. He evaluated my condition carefully and took the necessary steps to eliminate the possibility of infection and did an excellent job with my surgery. I am forever grateful to Dr. Callaghan for setting my broken wrist after a sudden fall in late March, 2017. The physician on call for Dr. Mc Inerney at Chilton that Sunday, Dr. Callaghan was my God-send. Competent, confident, calm, and kind, he reassured me that my wrist would heal perfectly--and it did! He was not at all surprised by the unusual appearance of my broken bone but simply asked a few questions and began his skilled work and remedied my brokenness. God bless him always!

I suffered with chronic crushing pain for over 20 years because no surgeon would remove some hardware in my leg from an old war injury. I eventually developed complications. Dr. Callaghan met with me and after talking to him for 5 minutes, I knew he was the guy. What other doctors were afraid to do was a very simple surgery for him and I'm virtually pain free now. He gave me my life back. He also happens to be a very humble, professional and generally nice guy.

I will forever be grateful to Dr. Callaghan. I am so fortunate that I came upon him while at the end of my rope with a broken humerus that would not heal and I had been dealing with for way too long. I truly believe that he is the best surgeon that I could have ever had. I don't think I have ever been so confident with any other Doctor. His calm nature with a very personal, down to earth essence is so reassuring. His work is perfection also. My arm is just progressing beautifully.

I would highly recommend Dr. Callaghan not only for his expertise but his warm bedside manner. He takes the time to explain your condition and what to expect in detail. You never feel rushed and he is a good listener. Additionally, he is very positive yet realistic.
