Rude Referral Staff Member
I was referred to Dr Demicco by my general practitioner after a recent cancer diagnosis. I spoke to his referral nurse on numerous occasions for scheduling because I did not hear from anyone after a month. She asked that I have my referral papers faxed immediately to her and she’d squeeze me in January’s schedule. I called back before the holidays to confirm and was told she’d call me back. When I did not receive the call I called back. I was presented with an attitude and the same …. I’ll call you when I get to you. I told her she had asked me to fax the papers etc per her request and she’d squeeze me in. I was presented with attitude and argumentative . I said thank you and hung up. She called back to argue again and said she’s refusing my referral because “we don’t like attitude” . I am a cancer patient and some common empathy would be nice. Disappointed and shocked at how we are at the mercy of the healthcare’s staff - most importantly the rude ones. Her name I believe is Sheryl.

Undeniably a great doctor with the worst office.
Admin for this Dr. is rude, always on-edge, seemingly overworked, and could care less about getting you your medication. 'I'll call you back' is their tag-line. That call-back usually occurs 15min prior to them closing. They can't 'phone-in' prescriptions to pharmacies due to some computer problem furthering the time it takes to get your meds. For patients trying to manage pain, this place isn't a nightmare. It's a Living Horror.

Dr is wonderful
Dr. Demicco was amazing. He was very helpful and listened to all details before moving onto the next. He asked a wide variety of questions to weed out all possible options. The receptionist that answers the phone is not pleasant to deal with. It is hard to get her to leave the doc a message. Other than that it wasn't a terrible wait to be seen and all the ladies in the back were a pleasure to interact with.

Worst experience
I was supposed to see Dr. Demmico today. I want him to know that due to the hostile and unprofessional treatment I received from his referral specialist, I will have to wait to see another doctor. I’m a veteran newly diagnosed with Lupus and in so much pain, I sat defeated after my interaction with your staff. I even requested to speak to a manager and she kept transferring me but no one answered. She called me back and when I told her, please remove me from your patient list, she said “ oh I already did.” This woman should not be talking to patients in such a rude and demeaning matter, especially not veterans. you have lost a client due to this.

Don’t waste your time going here. They don’t care about you, they only care about the money. I was recently diagnosed with a autoimmune disease. A lot of things were going through my head, I was definitely very scared. My primary doctor referred me here since I needed to be seen by a rheumatologist. On my first appointment the nurses check me up, took my vitals and all of that as usual. Then his assistant came and started asking a lot of question, everything okay so far. Then “Doctor Demicco” came in for literally (I’m not exaggerating) just on minute, look at my hands since I was explaining that they were very swollen and in pain. After that he said they’re going to do some blood work and walked out of the room. Okay I said, it’s only the first visit. It’s usually like that. They told me to go again in like 2-3 weeks for all test results. I went back, the assistant provide me with the results and prescribed me some medicine. I had a lot of question since this was all new for me a

same opinion here :Dr. Demicco’s office requires one’s social security number in order to schedule an appointment. I told them that I will give it on my first appointment because I don't feel comfortable to give it over the phone but they force it to give it away if you want to book your appointment . It is a well known fact that Medicare does not use social security numbers because that puts people at greater risk of identity theft. Dr. Demicco I hope you read this review and recognize you should change your office procedure immediately to safe guard your patients.

Dr. Demicco is a Great Doctor! Staff is usually Wonderful. Except recently Wendy (Nurse) was extremely disrespectful 2 me during a phone call & Lied 2 me bout getting script call in. She had an attitude about me missing an appt. in February. Lol appt was reschedule 4 Mar. I was in car accident. I came 2 Mar appt, Wendy nice as always. I didn't ask 4 a script at that time due 2 me having meds till end of Mar. I call office Mar 29, to get a new script. Wendy answer phone with attitude bout me missing appt. in Feb. I said I didn't miss appt. I reschedule it. I said U saw me 2 wks ago & said nothing, I didn't need a script until today. She said computer wont let her pull up my script so I can't get it til next appt. I wanted 2 speak 2 Dr. said he was seeing patients. I call back told receptionist I want 2 speak 2 Manager. She ask what happen then she started typing & then put me on hold. 2 min. later she said Ur script was sent to the pharmacy. I was very happy. Shock by Wendy behavior

This review would be zero stars but the Doctor's FNP Erin is very nice and knowledgeable but she told me she was a physician but her card says FNP. I specifically made the appt with the doctor as a new patient and when I arrived I saw his FNP. He had no intentions of coming into the exam room - I made her go and get him. He didn't ask me any questions, didn't check my joints , didn't give me any kind of exam once so ever. I have RA and C.R.E.S.T. and when I go to see a Rheumatologist I expect an exam to take place. I did my research and when his name comes up in a search it says Internist and Rheumatologist. I also saw nice reviews about him and his office but to not refill prescriptions over the phone is not right. Who has time to come to the office to get a refill and then will I be charged a copay for an office visit ? I will not be back.

Dr. DeMicco is an extremely capable physician. He keeps current on medical literature. Other doctors in the area clearly have a great deal of respect for him. He is also very compassionate, a trait that is frequently lacking amongst medical professionals.

Dr. Demicco is honest, caring, detailed, and very thorough in taking his time to give the best care possible (not to mention hilarious with a great personality). His nurses are very friendly and engaging, and the front desk staff are relatively pleasant as well. Dr. Demicco is "seasoned" with loads of knowledge and many years of experience. I highly recommend him and believe personally that the world needs more people like him. He is not only a great physician, but a wonderful human being as well.

Dr. Demicco mishandled my health. He put me on methotrexate. It was so strong that I was unable to function properly for five days after each weekly dose. I was on this medicine for three months. My health was not monitored. When I went to my new intern for a check-up my labs showed severe liver problems caused my the methotrexate. He also looked through my file to find the labs that caused the prescription of methotrexate belonged to another person! I spent time getting my health back together.
