Dr. Ellington is highly recommended !
Dr. Ellington truly explained in detail my surgical procedure to be performed, as well as an outlook in my recovery process. He took the time to listen to any of my concerns and responded promptly with any questions or concerns after my surgery. Dr. Ellington also encouraged and made me feel confident in knowing all procedures take time to heal and not to rush the process. I’m so grateful for him listening and taking my ongoing symptoms serious.

There are no words to truly Express how great Dr Ellington is. He's not only top in his field but you have his full attention at every appointment. I always feel like I'm his only patient. His personality is his great as his skill. I trust him explicitly and always look forward to each visit. I cannot recommend him more than five stars or I would. If you take the time to Google his accomplishments you will see you couldn't have more experienced or forward-thinking professional on your side.

Excellent care
Due to several serious injuries I have been a patient of doctor Ellington for almost a decade. He has never once made me feel rushed or has brushed aside my questions or concerns. He listens and offers a clear and honest take of my medical issues. He won’t simply tell you what you want to hear but what you need to know while still displaying empathy. That honesty is worth its weight in gold. I would recommend him to any first responder in the city of Charlotte.

I have been a patient of Dr Ellington for 2 years. The time and research he has put into fixing my ankle is incredible. I can’t imagine having any other surgeon and I appreciate him so much!

Would not recommend
I've rarely had a doctor as ego-driven as Dr. Ellington. He kept his time with me as brief as possible, strongly giving the impression that it was my fault that my foot wasn't 100%. He said that his other patients were 100% satisfied after the same procedure that I had. I felt that I should apologize for not being in the 100% category! This doctor is egocentric and not patient-oriented in any way other than to stroke his ego. He thinks his surgical skills are beyond compare. That, for me, remains to be seen.

Great visit.
Dr Ellington evaluated all aspects of my Achilles rupture along with other health issues. He weighed surgery as compared to no surgery and determined the best road to take at this time. I appreciate his honesty and certainly respect the decision! Thanks so much.

Misdiagnosis and then cover up
He didnt want to discuss the MRI, said to keep doing PT but maybe my pain is psychological. He wouldnt show me the MRI bc 'I wouldnt know what I was looking at'. All docs Ive ever been to point to MRI pics to explain. After steroids, shots and 6 months of PT I called the MRI facility for a CD to bring to another doc. The next doc said the MRI (that Dr. Ellington ordered) was of my ankle and not foot. New MRI showed torn tendon in my foot and I had to have surgery after 10 months of tearing it more in PT due to Dr. Ellingtons orders. The MRI facility showed the order from Dr. Ellington was for the ankle. In an effort to not have to pay for 2 MRI's I showed Ellingtons team the info. They said order was correct and was suppose to be of ankle bc thats what I came in for. I showed them all his notes that showed foot and no mention of ankle...they stopped responding. Im 6 weeks post op now...no pain and running around.

post op surgery and inaccesability
i had surgery for 'hammer toes' 9 months ago. Now 4 of the toes don't hit the ground when I step and the toes deviate outwards. Dr told me do massages to correct problem. after 9 months doing so, zero improvement. i wrote and asked for a study regarding efficacy of massages. no personal response from Dr. When i phoned spoke with 2 non medical people but not Dr. Orthocarolina in my opinion factory assembly line medicine.

Dr. Ellington is absolutely amazing. He is down to earth, takes all the time needed to explain your options and never rushes to suggest surgery. Finding great providers that you can trust is not always easy, but i am so glad I found Dr. Ellington.

Terrific Surgeon - issues are with the process
Dr. Ellington is awesome! However, I have seen him before (for surgery) and yet was unable to use the QR code to register when I came to my appointment. Also, even though I had entered all my current medications during pre-registration, I had to go through years of prescriptions with the nurse prior to seeing Dr. Ellington. I will need to have surgery and have still not heard from the scheduler.

Ankle Surgery
Dr. Ellington recently completed an ankle surgery after I suffered a traumatic mountain biking accident. He was outstanding. He provided detailed analysis of both the injury and the surgical protocols he would employ. His obvious command of the subject material was very confidence inspiring. Notably, unlike many high level surgeons, he was super down to Earth, sincerely compassionate, and willing to spend extra time patiently discussing my injury. Overall, just a super nice guy. His extended team: from the schedulers, chief of staff Stacey, pre-op specialist Raegan, pre-op nurses, surgical nurses, anesthesia crew, office staff, etc, were all outstanding. The whole process was incredibly organized and it ran like a Formula 1 pit crew. I would give Dr Ellington and his entire team my highest recommendation.

Outstanding
I’m a Flight Attendant and an Operating room Rn newer to NC., So I was trying to find the best foot surgeon in Charlotte. It took 3 years of asking random people if they knew any good foot surgeons. The same name kept surfacing “Dr Ellington”. Well, I finally did it and can say “yes”, Dr Ellington really is the best. I am non-stop impressed with my recovery. I’m at week 7, walking and almost back to myself. It may take a few more months to be perfectly normal, but that’s ok, that’s the healing process.Thank You Dr Ellington so much!Highly recommend

Always a great experience
I truly appreciate the fact that Dr. Ellington seems to care about me as his patient. He takes the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and is very direct. Moreover, he always explains the procedures he’s performing as he goes. I feel I am in excellent hands and am confident I have the correct surgeon. In addition, every clinician and staff member I’ve encountered is very kind and professional.

Appt with Dr. Kent Ellington
I was sent a survey on my visit with a Dr. Kent Ellington. He was the doctor that I had my appointment with that I never seen. I had questions that a male assistant clearly did not have the answer to. It was back and forth the assistant leaving the room to relate my questions. I didn't feel good and very disappointed when I left that office. No recommendation from me. Unprofessional
