Very good psychiatrist
Dr Fenley is so knowledgeable about mental illnesses and the medications to treat them with. Those of you who say he isn’t a good counselor need to understand that that is not his job. There are counselors and therapists for that, and he will help guide you to one, if need be. But he is great at what he does and I would definitely recommend him, and I have, several times. He has helped me be able to function when I had gotten to where I really couldn’t do it on my own.

He saved me
He saved me from an existence of hiding in my bedroom forever. Because of him, I was involved in my children's lives as they grew to be adults, and I am now engaged in my granddaughter's life. Without him, I would have been a shell of a human afraid to leave my room, not to mention my house; no, he doesn't have portals, email, or even accept my insurance but he has been my doctor since August 1995. I tried another one time due to insurance, went straight home, and called Sarah (his then long-time assistant) and said, - Get me back on the books! - I wouldn't trade him for anyone, And I dread the day he retires!

I was a patient of Dr. Fenley’s for almost 15 years. I can agree with both the good and bad reviews. He is very knowledgeable about medications and he always had a concern for how my family was. But his bed side manner was pretty bad. Which I suppose is likely for a psychiatrist. I have since moved to Colorado and have a new doctor. I am only taking one medication and I am doing better than I have in years. When I tried to express concerns about the number of medications I was taking and the side effects, I was not heard. I was always told what to do. I could not question his treatment without offending him. For anyone considering going under Dr. Fenley’s care, don’t let him bull doze you. If he or any doctor won’t listen to your concerns, especially when it comes to medication, find another doctor.

He was my psychiatrist for years. There is a difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist. You guys bashing him for pushing meds.... Thats what a psychiatrist does, if needed. HE IS NOT A THERAPIST, but one amazingly smart man and I don't trust anyone else.

Very knowledgeable about medications. He is also great to talk to and is a good listener. He fully explains the effects and how a drug works and how different ones interact or compliment another. He has kept my mood, anxiety and panic attacks in bay with a inminimum of changes in prescriptions. Highly recommended.

If you need management of medications, he is great. I would not recommend him for counseling. He won't have you lie down on the couch and tell him about your childhood.

We moved here from out of state where my son was seeing a psychiatrist for years. His psychiatrist, psychologist, AND primary physician that were out of state all agreed he is not capable of working at this time, so he has applied for SSI. We were told by Dr. Fenley's office assistant that he has some personal rule that he sees NOBODY who has applied for disability. There's a reason he can't work! He needs help! Apparently he's in this profession for the money only! We have insurance ya know!

Arrogant quack! Worst Doctor I have ever been to. His appointments are only scheduled 15 minutes apart so that he can get as many patients in and out as possible. He doesn't try to discuss issues or help patients, he just pushes meds.
