Dr. John Feore, MD

I was referred to "Dr." Feore by my primary care physician because, in addition to some serious issues I've been having, she felt a mass that needed to be examined. He told me that he didn't understand why I would "run" to a doctor at the first sign of problems, that I didn't have a mass (that's not true - I can feel it), and that my PCP was not a "real" doctor. He didn't want to order follow-up tests, but I insisted. To top everything off, he ended the visit by telling me that I'm "quite big" and that my stomach was too large for him to do a proper exam. For context, I'm 5'8" and wear a size 16-18. If "Dr." Feore feels he can't exam women my size, he should retire or find another line of employment.

I made an appointment with this doctor based on the sheer number of positive reviews I read on this site. I was really looking forward to my appointment. He is certainly highly knowledgeable and has a gentle manner. Procedure was easy. However, he is unjustifiably rude and made me uncomfortable the entire time I was there. He made fun of me a number of times and did not seem terribly concerned about how his comments might come off. I don't think I'd even let a waiter treat me like this? I was hoping to find someone who I could continue seeing on a regular basis but I couldn't imagine seeing him again. There's only one other negative review for this doctor but wow, they really nailed it. I have to believe other doctors are as knowledgeable as he is but have a slightly better attitude towards their female patients. Unfortunate to say all this but..beware.

So professional. Took care of me during high risk pregnancy. I always felt comfortable and safe.

Dr. Feore delivered my first son, and I have been seeing him ever since. I like how he meets with you first to see how your life is going and if you have any questions or concerns. This past appointment I mentioned that I was concerned about one of my breasts. (I had just had a mammogram before my appointment with him.) Dr. Feore checked me too and said we should wait to hear the mammogram results within the next week. The next morning Dr. Feore called me personally to tell me he had checked on my mammogram results, and everything was fine. What a wonderful and caring follow-up. I would highly recommend Dr. Feore!

I truly trust and am very thankful for Dr Feore. He has been my OBGYN for many many years and has delivered two of my babies. He has a great bedside manner, will listen to your concerns, and has a good personality. I recommend him to anyone.

He is absolutely the best!!!

Annual check up

My appointment was for my annual exam. I have Dr. Feore's patient for over 33 years. I trusted him to deliver my youngest child and to handle all my GYN needs since. I have recommended him to many friends.

Dr. Feore is what I look for in a doctor -- he always takes the time to talk with me (and listen to me!!), he explains things clearly -- I never feel rushed. He cares about his patients.

I have been going to Dr. Feore for 35 years. He delivered my daughter as well has done some other surgeries I have had over the years. I have full trust in him and dread the day when he decides to retire. Going to the Gynecologist is not my favorite thing to do but if I have to go, then I want to go to Dr. Feore. He has always been there for me, takes the time to answer any concerns I may have and cares about my well being.

Dr. Feore has been my doctor for over 35 years. At every appointment, we talk first in his office and he asks how I am doing, if I have any concerns and reviews my other health checks. He's always helpful and concerned about me. If you are looking for a doctor who cares, Dr. Feore is excellent!

Dr. Feore is very knowledgeable & professional. He has great bedside manner. I have been a patient for 23 years & he has been my doctor through all 4 of my pregnancies. I would highly recommend him to my family & friends.

I have been going to Dr. Feore since moving to Richmond in 1988. He is professional and a wonderful doctor. He saved my life when he kept looking for what was wrong and found that I had a GIST tumor. Dr. Binns stepped in and operated and the GIST has never returned. Dr. Feore and his entire staff are exceptional!!!!

Dr. Feore has been my grandmother's, my mother's and my doctor for many many years and now he is my daughter's doctor. He is excellent - knowledgeable, trustworthy, thorough and truly cares about his patients. I would not want to trust my healthcare to anyone else. Thank you Dr. Feore and staff. I've been going to Dr. Feore for almost 26 years now...when he delivered my daughter!!! I would completely likely recommend him to my family/friends...which I have done!!! The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable!!! The office is very clean!!! The wait time is very reasonable...usually they call me back before I can even complete my paperwork...lol The response time on me receiving my letter with the results of my visit is fast!!!

Dr. Feore has been my ObGYN physician for over 20 years. He is a phenomenal physician with superior skills accompanied by astonishing wisdom. His bedside manners, in addition, to his professional attention to the patient present him as the type of physician with a remarkable skill set applicable to the medical profession

Dr. Feore has been my Ob-gyn for almost 29 years, and delivered both my children. My first was an emergency C- section, and Dr. Feore was amazing. His always calm and confident demeanor helped me not to panic. Now that I am in my 50’s, he competently addresses my changing medical concerns. I look forward to my annual check-up every year just to see him. He always takes time to talk and catch up with what’s been going on in my life - and he also has a wicked, dry sense of humor. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Feore.

Dr Feore was kind and compassionate when he delivered my son 20 years ago, and I am still blessed with his tremendous skill and knowledge under his care since then. He is the best ob/gyn!!! Highly recommend.
