very unprofessional
Dr Finnie very strange acting. I felt very uncomfortable while in his office. He's hard to understand his instructions. In the middle of the visit he got up from his seat, put his hands deep into his pockets and pulled his pants up very high. WIERD.

Very disappointed
My sister is a patient of Dr. Finnies. I was very disappointed in the main and his bedside manner. He doesn’t oook at yu while talking, he types the whole time, He said it saves him time at the end of the day and doesn’t take time from his family. When he was done, he told my sister to stand and handed her, her purse, 5en he asked me to stand and did the same thing and showed us to the door. Didn’t allow us to ask questions. Said wait until he was done saying what he wanted. Well, never got the chance to ask, because he rudely exited both out the door. Then he appointment ladies who checked you out were rude also. Eating chips and talking instead of helping the patient. The nurse who checked us in didn’t even smile and just told my sister to get in the scale. We joked and said no one likes the scale, she was not impressed and just looked at us like just be in the scale. This was her 2nd visit with him and tried to g I e him a 2nd chance. But NO, not for me,

I saw Dr Finnie to get some tests done. He was quite thorough and explained everything. He answered all my questions and made sure I knew what medication to take etc. and for how long. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to see this type of specialist as he is great a explaining things, listens and has a great attitude!

Dr Finnie is definitely a 5 Star Doctor!
Dr Finnie is very pleasant and his memory is fantastic! As soon as he figured out all the issues, ran multiple tests, my husband started treatments. Dr Finnie knows his business and he also has been working with all my husbands other top notch Doctors which there are several with Mercy and some are with other hospitals which I think is wonderful! Dr Finnie’s top priority is getting my husband as well as possible with his top knowledge! Right now, he’s #1 in our book of multiple top notch Doctors in St Louis that my husband sees.

My husband is fighting for his life after being wrongly diagnosed and treated due to this doctor's own arrogance. Definitely treated like a number and not a human being.. You will get 15 minutes tops of his time as he types and a fist bump on the way out. He says a lot without saying anything at all. Full of hot air, this guy would make a great politician, doctor not so much. "Don't worry, I got you buddy" doesn't help when you know things are not improving and you cannot get his attention. We begged for him to listen and we were brushed off until we wound up in the ER. My husband relapsed while receiving treatments for SMZL when he needed treatment for DLBCL, a much more aggressive lymphoma. Something that would have been easy to know with a repeat bone marrow biopsy...because guess what? They never had a sufficient sample to confirm a diagnose to begin with. We were lied to 100% and this doctor's ego was too big to admit it.

He is very confusing. He spend most of the time typing and talking out loud but not telling you nothing. When you try to tell or asked him something he wants you to wait until he finish typing. He is always rushed and therefore rushes you. He doesn't go over my test results unless I bring it up first but at the same time he is still rushing me out. When he decides to check my heart he is standing, still talking about something that has nothing to do with my health and he's done. I know he didn't hear my heart because he was too busy talking a hundred miles a minute and really not listening to my heart. If I stay with him any longer I will be dead. He cares more about typing than he does about my health. I will not be going back to him.

We feel so blessed to be under the care of Dr. Finnie. He is one of the nicest and most personable physicians I have ever met and I have worked with many. His upbeat personality and knowledge of the latest treatments for advanced cancer really puts you at ease. While my dad might not understand medical terminology, he communicates with the entire family and treats my dad like a human being that matters. Dr. Finnie has a brilliant mind, and I would recommend him to any friend or family member.

I’m sure he is knowledgeable but found him difficult to understand. He types and reads out loud and interjects information to us at the same time. When trying to decipher confusing medical treatments, this is not helpful despite him repeating “this is helpful, right?” Info given also conflicted with other doctors.
