Excellent Doctor and Surgeon
Dr. Gachiani made sure we understood the physiological aspects of my wife's case, what he planned to do to help her, and after the surgery he explained what he found, what he fixed, and how we could help her to both heal and stay healthy. He took the time to answer every question we had and to made sure we understood. In my opinion he went above and beyond in his efforts to help her overcome the extreme pain she was in when we met him. I cannot say enough good things about this Doctor.

He did an Amazing job with my 2day old's surgeryy
I met Dr. Gachiani March of 2016 when my daughter was born. He performed a vp shunt placement on her she was only 2days old,due to her having severe hydrocephalus. He is the reason I believe she lived a long life because of his Amazing work. Patricia never had issues with the shunt. Unfortunately My baby girl since than has passed away. Patricia Kim Smith. Her life expectancy was told was 1 year due to multiple severe health complications, but thanks to Dr. John Gachiani from the help of you and your great staff she lived to be 5 1/2 years old. Just realized he is no longer here in Des Moines, Iowa. God Bless you and keep doing your Amazing work.

Dr. Gachiani performed a two-level cervical disc replacement in my neck a year ago, and I have not had any issues since the moment I woke up from surgery. Prior to surgery, I suffered for 8 months with severe pain and complete arm/hand numbness, and for many years before that with a bulging disc from two car accidents. I would still be in pain today if I hadn't chosen surgery, but I wasn't taking it lightly. Dr. Gachiani felt the same way and doesn't do surgery without cause. He is AMAZING.

Dr. Gachiani performed emergency surgery on my daughter last year after she broke her back. Before surgery, she was unable to move her legs. Since surgery, she's regained use of both her legs and is walking again. Not only was Dr. Gachiani a great surgeon, he was very compassionate.

One meeting with this doctor was enough for us to know that we could not trust this doctor with our child's life. Our child remembers him as "the doctor, who almost crushed my hand." Her hand hurt for a week after G's handshake. Mine did too. This doctor had next to none experience and acted very hungry for surgery. He tried to give us hell for not wanting to sign up our asymptomatic child for an elective surgery that could have crippled her or worse. Pushy and rude.

I had Lbp for a long time. Dr. Gachiani took time to explain the condition / procedure. He did laminectomy in 2 hours and no complications afterwards. He is very understanding, caring and above all he knows his stuff well.
