Dr. John Goza, MD

I recently had pilonidal cyst surgery with Dr. Goza. Dr. Goza has been great in explaining the procedure, recovery questions, and making sure everything went well.

Dr. Goza is an amazing surgeon. He repaired my right inguinal hernia laparoscopically with mesh and everything went perfectly. Dr. Goza has an amazing bedside manner and I had every bit of confidence having my repair done with him. My primary care doctor had the same surgery performed by Dr. Goza as well and recommend him highly and I now know why. Don’t go consulting Dr. Google if you schedule a hernia repair with Dr. Goza as your story will not be like some others. I am sure every case is different but I went in for surgery on a Thursday morning and was able to work from home the following Monday. I was walking 2+ miles a day within 1.5 weeks and you are able to get up and move immediacy after surgery. There is some discomfort as expected but nothing unbearable so don’t be afraid. In time you will be back to your old self. I feel so much better and the nagging pain I had from the hernia is gone minus a twinge here and there but each week gets better and better. Dr. Goza is one of the most personable & caring doctors I have ever met. The first time I met him was last fall after my wife was diagnosed with cancer and we thought she may need surgery. He referred us to another doctor, after reviewing her ultrasound and CT Scan. So why wouldn’t I come to him when I needed surgery. He listen to my explanations of my symptoms and examined me after my ultrasound. He explained how he performs the procedure, and what to expect and the recovery time.

Dr. Goza is knowledgeable, nice and funny. It's such a pleasure to meet him. He also did a great job to fix my husband's hernia last year. I highly recommend Dr. Goza.

Doc Goza is my personal favorite...wish he could take care of all my medical needs!! He is a very personal guy who listens well and applies knowledge with discernment and logic.

I saw DR Goza regarding a lump in my upper abdomen. Oh, yeah he found it all right. It hurt like crazy. I also received a call to call Overland Park Specialties and make an appointment. I guess as a follow up from the1st visit, which is ok. I like Dr. Goza and would recommend him to others.

Dr. Goza came to my appointment surprisingly prepared. I am used to (and tired of) having to repeat my history and symptoms every time I see someone when all of that is on my records. That saved us time, and made me feel like he was truly invested in helping me. His follow up questions and subsequent diagnosis made sense to me. I liked how cordial and engaged he was as well.

I had absolutely the best care possible . Had Hernia surgery on Tuesday and worked that Thursday.5 Stars all the way

Dr Giza repaired my umbilical hernia. His consultation was very straightforward and informational and left me with no unanswered questions. Really enjoyed speaking with him. Surgery went perfect and my recovery could not have been better. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any surgery that is in his field and would definitely go back to him.

Dr Goza is an excellent surgeon and I’m so grateful for all he has done for me and my family. He explains things well and takes time to listen. I already knew him as he has be a surgeon for several family members and friends, but this week I had surgery with him myself. Surgery is always a stressful thing, but being under the care of someone so trusted and capable makes such a difference. Dr Goza listened to my health concerns and was able to bring to an end health issues that I’ve been dealing with for almost 2 years. I’d highly recommend him to anyone. I hope to never need surgery again, but if I do I would go back to Dr Goza without hesitation. He is friendly, kind and capable.

Dr. Goza is thorough, he reviews pertinent labs and tests as well as referral notes and patient chart info if accessible to provide guidance from a systemic perspective. He shows genuine care and concern and listens. He does not rush you. He listens. He is honest with his assessment and helped me as the patient feel understood and have a voice in considering any type of surgery regardless of how invasive it may or may not be.

At a difficult time in my life, I found Dr. Goza to be supportive, informative, and thorough. Although this was my first visit, within minutes, I felt very comfortable in communicating with him. I am grateful to him and to his excellent staff.

Followed up with Dr. Goza on a Hernia repair from 2 years ago. As always he was very professional, easy to understand as he was simple and direct with his explanations. I would recommend him to anyone that needs hernia repair.
