Stay away
Went to this Dr for 6 years. Never did biopsy said high psa was fine. Went another Dr turns out I had advanced prostate cancer. Could have been cured if diagnosed early when I first went to him. Now treating at Sloan….Stay away he is more interested in running a business than treating patients.

Have not received my test result in over 2 mons
I've now called three times to get my results and have yet to receive anything. Bed side manners were fine in my appointment but I have not received anything back and I'm overall frustrated by the lack of urgency by the their front desk personnel.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Hajjar. From the moment he walked into the room, his professional and kind bedside manner immediately put me at ease. He truly listened to my concerns, taking the time to understand what I was going through. Not only did he explain my treatment options clearly, but he also made sure I fully understood each step needed to figure out my health issues. His knowledge and expertise were evident, and his sense of humor made the entire experience more comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Hajjar to anyone looking for a compassionate, skilled, and personable doctor!

Had a complication to my TURP Sergey
Mutilation takes on a new meaning with Dr. Hajjar. After six months out from TURP Sergey, I developed bleeding and atrophy of the appendige. When discussing the matter with Dr. Hajjar and expressing my disappointment with the results of his services , he (Dr. Hajjar) could only talk about his long hours in his practice. Also, the cost of running his business. I don't think the Doctor has the best intentions for his patients. I plan to sue.

Update to my review-the original was not a fluke
After my first batch of disability paperwork, my second batch took even longer. The insurance company requested my medical records on 2/8 and as of 2/21 (today) they still have not done so after multiple calls and emails. I have decided to physically go to the office to pick them up myself because their office is unable to send a fax. I have had cancer and have been to numerous doctors and have NEVER experienced this level of incompetency. Fyi I called, left voicemails and emails. Twice I was told they were going to send them that day. They literally had to fax 2 or 3 pages. I’m glad I was able to find another urologist nearby.

*READ BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT!! * What a horrible experience with this unprofessional urologist! I first met Dr. Hijjar on Friday suffering with pain from a kidney stone. He seemed wonderful. Thorough & very nice. He kept assuring me that the laser procedure to break up my kidney stone was covered under my insurance-I was so happy. It wasn't until AFTER my procedure 3 days later that I saw his true colors. I was in a lot of pain & upon my discharge I saw Dr. Hijjar-he was so mean, cold & nasty I was in complete shock! I asked him for a few painkillers for the pain & he said, "I'm not giving you anything except motrin. I looked you up & you're an abuser. " I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I said "Excuse me?" He said "You are an addict & you abuse pain medication. I'm not giving you ANYTHING!" I flipped out & told him to look up WHY those pain meds were prescribed: Sciatica & Gastric Bypass. Worst dr ever! If you need pain meds & don't want to be insulted - go to another dr

He is a wonderful doctor talks to you and explains the whole situation I went there from Long Island. I had been to ten doctors waited three hours for one. I went to Doctor Hajjar and told him my symptoms. He told me right away what it was. Intersistial Cystitis. He confirmed it a week later when I was under anesthesia. He also layered my trigone area the procedure is called Vlat. My trigone area had turned cobble stone because of so many infection. The procedure was a success. I still have IC but I try to avoid foods and drinks so I don’t get a flare. He has retired now which he deserved. Thank you Doctor Hajjar You are the best!!!
