Hertzer was impossible to see, but a Rainbow screw up got us in. He projects calm and knowledge, but the depth is not there with him or Rainbow. My son got worse not better. We were sent to a totally inappropriate private pay out of state program that he could not have vetted. It also was clear Rainbow is very weak in Psych vs other areas. And, his answer was to keep my son drugged heavily drugged/ sedated because neither he nor Rainbow would admit they could not help or find an appropriate for

Dr. H cared for my son years ago. Today my son & I were talking about the many doctors, therapists & counselors he's had over the years... learning to navigate his OCD, ADHD and rapid-cycling bipolar disorder. I found Dr. H to be kind, patient, compassionate & truly invested in my son. My son says Dr. H was the best doctor he's ever had (for too many reasons to list here) but I think Dr. H & anyone reading this should know what an impact he had-my son still speaks of him -18 years later!!

Dr Hertzer is a phenomenal doctor. He listens and shares your concerns. He is very knowledgeable and conservative when it comes to prescribing meds. I attribute my child's progress to Dr Hertzer. We drive one hour to see him, Well worth the drive. Highly recommend this doctor.

Our experience with Hertzer left us with serious concerns about his judgment and integrity. He was not upfront about his/ Rainbow’s limits in terms of expertise and knowledge of other sources for specialized care and induced us to admit my son tons completely inappropriate private pay program out of state. Hertzer and his care made a difficult situation worse. He also was anything but transparent which was deeply troubling, if he is as good as it gets at Rainbow for child psych care, stay away

I've been taking my daughter to him since 14, the beginning of pre teen adolescent nightmare we came to him with everything(anxiety, depression, OCD,paranoid symptoms). His support and expertise transformed my daughter to a beautiful young lady that she is today. All the diagnoses has been eliminated but one some anxiety but she is very shy so with consistent support she is getting better. Dr H. supported me as a mom and worked with me to educate me first. Then worked with me to help my daughter
