Very Organized Staff
I have been seeing Dr. Kavcic for at least 8 years. I find hom to be very thorough. He listens well and doesn't rush you. I'm on Medicare so I have a wellness check by him once a year and see the PA at 6 months. They have same day appointments which I have needed. The office staff are very good at getting back to me the same day. I love that they are very organized. I don't understand some of these reviews. I have not encountered anything negative from this office.

Dr had me on 5 different diabetic meds a1c was just above 6. All together i was on 18 meds seeing him. When i went to a endocrinologist I was asked who put me on all these meds. Be careful dr kavcic seems to be interested in profit made writing scripts over medical care

Front desk will turn you away if you're five minutes late and try to charge you $100 no show fee. We are going somewhere else from now on.

Unwilling to treat symptoms and order labs/tests. Poor bedside manner, he doesn’t listen to you as a patient. Refused to retest my thyroid levels after they were close to being out of range. When I mentioned I felt very fatigued, he told me to take vitamin d without even testing my vitamin d levels. Do not recommend, run fast from this “doctor”. Dropped me as a patient when I asked why they wouldn’t order labs as I was having symptoms and feeling very sick.

I made my appt. in March and got in to see the PA in early April. When I went to my first appt, I had to wait 15 min. When I went to my second appt in August, to see the Dr., I was five min late. I called and said I overslept and I would be 5 min late. They said the Dr. "didn't have time to see me" and then charged me $100. So, if you want an office that focuses on money over client care, I'd recommend this office; otherwise, get a different doctor or make sure you have this office sign a contract saying they owe you $20/min when they are late. Seems fair and equitable to me.

I have been a patient a long time. I have seen some changes in the front desk staff. They are much better, however still need some help. The nurses rarely call you back. I have had some issues with my insurance and bills. The billing department is very knowledgeable and always returns my call. I would recommend this practice

I have been going to Dr. Kavcic since he took over Dr.Tuyns patients. My entire family goes to him because he caring and he takes time to answer any questions and explains conditions & treatments thoroughly. He makes you feel important and treats you like no problem is too small to ask for an answer. I have known him for 43 years and to me and my family,he is family.

i have been with him from the start of his career - at 1st I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay with him but after I saw the way he treated my elderly mother I decided to stay. she hadn't been to a dr in 25 years and he made her very comfortable - to his credit he kept her healthy ( for 24 yrs ) till she passed away at 94. i know i can tell him anything & i am listened to. sometimes the computer imputing annoys me but i would definitely recommend him & have all ready done so.

I highly recommend Dr. Kavcic as a primary care physician. He takes time to answer my questions and explains conditions & treatments thoroughly. Provides follow up as needed with scheduling flexibility and is always prompt, I have never had a wait time over five minutes! The office staff is courteous and knowledgeable and are able to answer all questions I may have. They also handle calls with with urgency and professionalism. The office environment and examination rooms are very clean and comfortable. When I moved from West Seneca NY to Brockport NY I kept Dr. Kavcic as my primary care physician because of his expertise in family medicine for both myself and my husband.

I am done with him my wife needed to get in because she had a sinus infection and a bacteria infection but the staff told her she had to make an appointment and he could not see her till next week. I am very aggravated because I have been a long time patient of his but because of the way my wife was treated I will make sure everyone knows how terible she was treated over the phone.

I am very disappointed in Dr. Kavcic. He came highly recommended. I have been going to his practice for 4 years and have only seen him twice. The last time I saw him he was so unsympathetic that I just diagnosed with breast cancer. I couldn't wait to leave. I didn't want to ask him any questions. NPs there are wonderful but now the practice won't let me see the NPs, for annual checkup. I should be able to see who I want.

I love Dr. Kavcic, in all of the years i have been going to him only once did i see a NP/PA and that was because of him being on vacation and I had to be seen after 1 week of being on meds. I read all these posts about the rude office staff and i have never seen them be rude to anyone nor have they ever been rude to me. Yes they are not hand holding full of warmth office staff BUT all I care about is how my doctor treats me and he has been one of the best.

Takes the time to listen and answer your questions. Explains your health conditions and medications. Is never quick to put you on a new medication that he deems risky. Cautious with treatment, but gets it right when he does put you on medication. Friendly and personable. Has some concept of empathy for you at times and expresses it. No problems being seen when sick. Is adamant about going for your medical tests which can be intimidating if you're reluctant to go.

Dr. Kavcic is wonderful! However, I am looking elsewhere for service. I can not believe how rude the front desk staff is to their patients. We are customers of healthcare and deserve to be spoken to with respect. Absolutely awful. I even mentioned this to other workers there and they rolled their eyes at me! So unprofessional!

This doctor's office and staff are rude and unprofessional. When calling his office, they are unreachable. You are asked to leave a voice mail for the nurse and told that she will most likely get back to you "at the end of the business day". While I understand that it is a busy office, there is no excuse for a primary doctor being unreachable by phone for patients who need assistance. When she finally got on the phone, she was rude and extremely unhelpful.

I would recommend family and friends to Dr. Kavcic. However, because of the women that work in the front office, it would be very unlikely. The reception area women are not nice and talk very unprofessionally to patients. The doctor is wonderful, but the women up front helped me make my decision to leave!
