Sent emails to Penn Response's email multiple times and spoke to Penn Sports Medicine Practice Manager. Told me they'd get back to me repeatedly after his complete incompetence.

Told me I needed a decompression. Told me 6 to 8 weeks I would feel great and be fully functional again. At 6-8 weeks, I was worse. 2 months later, still worse. 2 months later, still worse. He told me he was shocked because he did everything he could do, during the surgery. Also had me doing PT, even though he said I wouldn’t even need PT prior to surgery. 9 months post op, he told me the surgery didn’t work. 10 months later, he told me let’s go back in and do the same surgery again!!! I politely pointed out his inconsistencies, and then he got ignorant and narcissistic – flipping the script on me instead of taking responsibility for his incompetence (naturally). My shoulder has been SUBLUXING AFTER his surgery, because the actual issue with my shoulder is stretched ligaments around the capsule. A decompression did nothing but give the capsule more room for instability and movement. It’s even more painful now for which I need the proper surgery. He made a fortune though! Incompetent.

Dr kelly misdiagnosed me and performed unneeded surgery that left me with so much nerve damage and I’m living in constant chronic pain. He said I had CRPS after the surgery and blew me off. I really thought he cared but he proved me 100% wrong. It’s been almost 1.5 years since my surgery and the pain now is MUCH worse than before.

I had ankle surgery 8 days ago. I have SEVERE complications! I have left MANY messages, pleading - BEGGING - for someone to just LOOK at my foot and confirm it is ok. You will NEVER get through to this doctor! His nurse REFUSES to let him call you! If you have a problem - like me - even a severe one - you will NEVER get to be seen by this guy for MONTHS!!! NOT EVEN IN AN EXTREME EMERGENCY!! If you have any problem or complication with your surgery - GOOD LUCK FOLKS CAUSE YOU WILLLLLL BE ON YOUR OWN!!!

Dr. Kelly is one of the very best doctors I have ever met. He diagnosed and performed shoulder surgery on my son who is a college athlete. His knowledge, ability to explain in simply, understandable terms, and the time and energy he and his team put into the entire process was excellent from start to our last follow-up.

My shoulder was completely torn apart and I could not use my arm or my hand much. I thought my days of surfing and swimming were over. Dr. Kelly operated on the shoulder and repaired it as if it had never been injured. I can now surfing swim to my heart's content. Dr. Kelly is a marvelous human being who has great compassion and humor. Anyone with a shoulder injury would be a fool not to use anyone but Dr. Kelly. Anything less than five stars on the site would be by someone who is just a miserable person, not because Dr. Kelly did anything but be the best doctor that they could ever have.

I am undecided with Dr. Kelly. I had surgery done at St Luke's Hospitals where one torn rotator turned into a nightmare due to the hospital staff nursing and Waiting to find out what steps repair the original rotator and after falling at St Luke's As of right now I am suffering and waiting for Dr. Kelly's office and Penn Med to discuss the infection which as of now has had no more treatments and the pain and agony of all this sucks as a patient. I find it harder to believe a person in true pain and proof of serious injuries can not find the treatment and comfort because the medications that actually work, do to the addicts and doctors who can not discern an actual person suffering from a junkie looking for the high. I need medical help and a doctor who is not afraid to treat a patient an the conditions that would greatly reflect on a better quality of life and the hopes of returning to work and life with little to no suffering and pain or confusion of this medical system. Dr Kelly repaired both of my shoulders which were severely damaged years apart. The shoulders are great not just due to his surgical skills but also his cautious post op approach. Super bedside manner and a wonderful sense of humor.

Had surgery 6 months ago for torn meniscus in my knee. I’ve been able to resume full activity including running without pain or limitations. Couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend him not only for his skill as a surgeon but also for his compassion and genuine concern for my overall well being.

Dr. Kelly is an amazing doctor! I had 5 right knee surgeries, 3 of which Dr. Kelly operated. Very skilled hands, and exceptional bed side manner. He is articulate, knowledgeable, funny, and caring. He takes the extra time to make sure you understand everything. He is conservative on his approach in regards to surgery, opting for that as a last option, unless immediately needed. Cannot say enough good things about him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dr. jelly is one of a kind. He did surgery on both my shoulders years ago and I have never had s problem since. I traveled all the way from Tampa FL. To have home do surgery on my shoulder. He is very caring and is always concern. He listens to all your complains and answers all your questions. We love him!! Our family would not go to anyone else.

Dr. Kelly has shown his concern for my condition and true compassion. He considered our options, tried non-surgical intervention first and continues to follow my case.
