Forever thankful I was referred to Dr. LaGrand. As a woman with endometriosis, pelvic congestion, and pelvic floor dysfunction, it’s been a long road and it’s been hard to be taken seriously even though pain for me has often been debilitating. Meeting an OBGYN is always scary because of my 15-year history of pelvic pain, but from the moment I met Dr. LaGrand, I knew he was special. He has reiterated that I’m not crazy and my pain is real. He made sure I understood the weight of a hysterectomy in my early 30s, but it was always apparent it was an option I wouldn’t have to fight for. I appreciate that immensely. Two of my surgeries in the past year were due to endometriosis, and I’m grateful for the time he takes to explain the disease. He makes heavy conversations lighter and is never in a rush. He uses Laparo Endoscopic Single Site surgery, which is amazing and makes healing easier. I can’t thank him enough for his incredible bedside manner and surgical technique.

Dr. Lagrand is one of the best patient educators I have ever seen. He explains everything so well, takes all the time necessary to answer questions, and is such an advocate for women's health! My hysterectomy recovery was so quick compared to other surgeries--minimal post-op pain, too. Highly recommend.

I'm 35 and had stage IV endometriosis. It likely started in my teen years, and Dr. LaGrand was the first OBGYN to take my symptoms seriously. It's not just heavy bleeding, it's crippling cramps, bloating, fatigue, GI complications and a hormonal hellscape. He is keenly aware of how badly Western medicine has failed women on the whole, takes them at their word about symptoms, and takes action to make it better. I can hardly express how much my life has improved since recovering from surgery (laproscopic complete hysterectomy), and I would recommend anyone with a uterus to see him if they feel that their health issues have not been taken seriously by previous healthcare providers.

I have been a happy patient of Dr. LaGrand and Advanced OBGYN for almost 20 years. My recent hysterectomy at 41 including before and after care was exceptional. I suffered from horrendous menstrual pain and bleeding from fibroids and increasing perimenopausal symptoms most significantly sleep disruption/deprivation. I am six weeks post op and my body has healed, my energy is returning and I am thriving on Hormone Replacement Therapy. Dr. LaGrand is someone who will listen and center women’s health in a system that often does the opposite. He is a great communicator, an accomplished surgeon and his staff is wonderful too. Highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Lagrand for pre-natal care 7 years ago with my high-risk pregnancy, and he recently completed my total hysterectomy. I cannot recommend him ENOUGH. Dr. Lagrand has the best bedside manner, clearly explains every option and procedure, and completed my surgery laparoscopically through a single port in my bellybutton (with no visible scars). Given the often embarrassing, invasive, and sometimes scary nature of OBGYN visits, Dr. Lagrand has consistently made every visit I've had to his office as enjoyable and (dare I say fun?!) as possible. He is straightforward, kind, a great listener, and very empathetic. He uses humor to diffuse your nerves, and is very easy to talk to. I'm grateful I'll never need another PAP but I'm honestly a little sad to no longer have a need for his services. If you're looking for prenatal, general gynecological care, or considering a hysterectomy, please choose Dr. Lagrand. You will be so glad you did.

Dr. LaGrand performed a single-incision laparoscopic hysterectomy for me at the beginning of last year due to extremely painful periods and a mass in my right ovary. The whole experience and recovery went so smoothly and Dr. LaGrand and his team were nothing but amazing through the whole process. The surgery has made a huge difference in my life and has definitely bettered my quality of life. I have virtually no scaring to show for it due to his approach which is also a huge bonus. I'd highly recommend him and advanced OBGYN.

Dr. LaGrand performed a single-incision laparoscopic hysterectomy, TVT, uterosacral ligament suspension, oophorectomy, and salpingectomy. Wow - that is a mouthful! This office has been great to work with, the doctors and staff are wonderful. I am fortunate and grateful for the expertise of Dr LaGrand.

I had a very large uterus due to some very large fibroids. Amazingly, Dr. LaGrand was able to remove my uterus and all fibroid tissue lapriscopically through one small incision in my belly button. I'm told the surgery was long and tedious due to the size of what was being removed and lots of scar tissue resulting from 3 c-sections. Everything had to be cut and diced into small pieces, placed in a bag internally and once everything was removed and contained in the bag, it was pulled out vaginally. There were no complications. My recovery has went fairly well. I am alive and well, grateful that I don't have to suffer from fibroid pain and nasty monthly menstrual cycles any longer. I recently had a hysterectomy performed by Dr. Lagrand and he’s been amazing the whole way through. He took a lot of time during the consult to answer questions and explain things thoroughly and was the first doctor in a long journey who wasn’t dismissive of the problems I’d been having. He was warm, funny, understanding, reassuring and of course exceptionally competent. I’ve found out that he performed hysterectomies for a few of my friends as well and they all had the same glowing reviews. I’m so grateful that he is who I was referred to.

Was having horrible periods and PMS symptoms. Talked to Dr. LaGrand about it and he recommended a hysterectomy. We had tried other things that were not permanent solutions so a hysterectomy was all that was left. The surgery was performed by making an incision in my belly button. The surgery itself was relatively quick and smooth. The recovery time was not bad, considering the surgery I had had and how bad it used to be. I had had 3 c-sections and this was nothing in comparison. If you are struggling with horrible periods and all that accompanies them, this can be a Godsend. I only wish I had done it sooner.

Needing a post menopause hysterectomy due to vaginally bleeding, I was at a loss- my ob/gyn had retired. Dr. Legrand was recommended to me by my daughter-in-law who had, just weeks before, had a hysterectomy done by him. She was very positive in her recommendation and I can see why. Dr. Legrand is a very kind, thoughtful and straightforward physician. He explained what had to be done, but instead of a large abdominal incision, he would do the surgery laproscopically, through my navel and remove everything vaginally. The results on my end were amazing! Recovery was rapid and the only problem was that I felt too good and needed to be reminded of the invisible sutures and my vulnerability to injury if I did too much too quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Legrand to anyone looking for a new ob/gyn.

Full hysterectomy, with bladder suspension. The surgery was performed laparoscopically with only 1 external incision. The incision is around the belly button. I was very happy with the way this surgery went and would recommend Dr. LeGrand to anyone considering a hysterectomy. The bladder suspension helps keep the bladder in a good place to prevent bladder leakage after the uterus is removed, and I am very happy with the way my surgery turned out. Everything was explained in detail, Dr. LeGrand pulls up a chair and talks right to you in a way you understand. I had this surgery done outpatient, went home the same day and the recovery went very well. This is definitely the way this surgery should be done!

Dr LaGrand was amazing to work with! He is medicine and patient based. He listened, and he took my pain seriously. We talked about the different options and he agreed that a full hysterectomy was the best option. Which is exactly what I wanted. I do not have children, nor did I ever want any. He was fine with that as well. He has a great bedside manner. The staff at Advanced OBGYN are all amazing, kind, caring people. They all made this experience so much easier and less stressful. I highly recommend them for any of your OBGYN needs.

After 2 years of dealing with fibroids and pre menopausal symptoms Dr. LaGrand educated me with the options I had to correct my issues. I chose to get a complete hysterectomy and Dr. LaGrand did a fabulous job explaining what to expect before and after. I had very little pain after the procedure which was done with 1 incision thru my belly button!! At the 2 week follow up visit Dr. LaGrand explained the phase of recovery and even though I felt amazing I learnt I still needed to take time to heal and at the 6 week follow up I was given final instructions how to care for myself so my surgery would serve me well for years to come!! Dr. LaGrand takes time with his patients and is very thorough in explaining things I highly recommend him!!

Dr. LaGrand and Dr. Michele were absolutely amazing walking me through my latest health issues. They have completely restored my hope in the healthcare system. You will not find anyone with more holistic care and compassion for women than this team. I have had to walk out D&C, ablation, and ended up needing a full hysterectomy. Every step of the way they answered my questions and took time to explain options to me. When is the last time that an MD or DO took over an hour on your appointment just to make sure you had a good understanding of what was going on and what was in front of you? On top of that, my hysterectomy was 1 incision in my belly button. Recovery was quick and the team was there the whole way. And… while everything else was being all fixed up… he was able to fix that little joy we all get when we sneeze ;) Highly recommend for any needs, ladies! You won’t regret it.

From the moment you meet with Dr. LaGrand he takes the time to discuss you needs and calm your fears. He is one of the few that performs a single umbilical incision hysterectomy as an outpatient procedure, so no need for extensive hospital stays, or significant painful incisions. This makes healing much more tolerable. He is there with you every step of the way, and always teaching not only you but future providers in this technique. He is one of the best most down to earth providers I have ever met, that is a man in a womens health environment. He doesn’t pretend to know what you are going through, but is more than willing to fully explain everything to you and will allow you to decide the safest options for your care. Would recommend for any female considering a hysterectomy as a solution to abnormal bleeding, or painful periods. 10/10 with Dr. LaGrand you are always treated like an individual and not just another patient to operate on..

At 38 I was diagnosed with a very large fibroid (2lb) that had also caused my uterus to be enlarged (818g). I had been living in pain and dealing with the effects of this for years when finally I couldn't take it anymore so I had testing done and the doctor immediately knew what it was and referred me to Dr. LaGrand. I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy that has only left a small mark around my bellybutton. This was an outpatient procedure so I was in and out of the office in an afternoon. Of course recovery was rough, especially the first week, but the staff and Dr. LaGrand made sure I knew what steps to take prior. Dr. LaGrand was very informative while maintaining a sense of humor which I greatly appreciated. He explained everything in detail leading up to the surgery and then after. I would highly recommend Dr. LaGrand to anyone!

At 34, I’ve had more than my fair share of surgeries. But fortunately for me, I can say the last two were with Dr. LaGrand. From the very first consultation, he went out of his way to sit down and thoroughly walk through my history and helped me make informed next steps. When it came time for surgery, having one incision instead of three like I’d had with other laparoscopic procedures was incredible. On the actual day, Dr. LaGrand somehow had the warmest hands, held mine and said he was going to take very good care of me and helped me count backward as the anesthesia began. I’ve never experienced such genuine care at each point in the healthcare system. After surgery, he took the time to show my husband pictures and explain them throughly so all of my questions were answered. I cannot recommend Dr. LaGrand enough, he is easily the most talented, kind and empathetic people I’ve ever met.

About half a year ago I was diagnosed with numerous fibroids of which two were about the size of my fist. I also had bilateral cysts. A friend referred me to Dr. Lagrand. He performed a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo oophorectomy. I'm very happy with the outcome. I only have one incision through my belly button through which he took everything out (by containing it in a bag and then cutting it up before taking it out). I could go home the same day. I went for my daily walks again the next day already! I used my prescription painkillers for two days and over the counter pain medication for one week. Dr. Lagrand takes his time to explain what he is going to do. During the post surgery visits I could ask him all the questions I had. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone who needs to see a gynecologist.

I would recommend him highly. He takes time to listen and explain. He did a surgery on me about a month ago, and all went well. Procedure was the least invasive option. Wouldn't go to anyone else.
