Lack of empathy, rude, arrogant and condescending
The staff at the Weight Loss Center was very nice and kind. But my last interaction with Dr. Nadai left me in great despair. He was pushing weight loss surgery on me. When I asked to explore other options, he laughed at me in my face! That was my last visit with him. I called my PCP and beg her to please never send me there again. He was awful!

I try to be prepared for our visits beforehand to make the most of our time together. What does he need from me? My current health, anything bothering me where he can possibly help, medication concerns, etc. I find that Dr. Nadai listens carefully, asks pointed questions, and then speaks medically to suggest how to best support me in my situation.

Excellent clinician; hidden warmth; truly cares
I feel badly that Dr. Nadai has gotten some negative reviews here as his personality has been sorely misinterpreted by people unwilling to understand, perhaps, that the world is made up of all kinds of folks. Dr. Nadai has an engineering background and his brain operates in an elegant, problem solving manner. Sometimes that involves long pauses, sometimes it involves thinking out loud, but if you are open to the fact that he is there to help you, then you feel you are in the presence of a caring, intelligent practitioner. He clearly is frustrated with the beraucracy of modern medicine, as are we all, and his dry wit on this topic is refreshing. He takes his time to vet various options available and maintains a subtle optimism that if one approach doesn't work, something else will. I have found him to be a kind individual and much prefer my health and well being to be in his hands than in those of some robotic phony just checking the boxes that the insurance companies dictate.

He was rude and condescending from the start with a God complex. I still tolerated and went for a second visit given the weight center is a reasonably good one. The second round, when I explained the issues with my side effects, he discussed in the context, a fat stupid woman who is imagining and has excuses. I never went back and do not recommend him to any one.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Nadai. He was not a good listener and I found him to be rude and condescending when I tried to clarify a misinterpretation regarding medications. I ended the visit. The office offered to schedule me with another doctor however I feel that any practice that would employ a medical professional like this is not a practice for me to receive care from.

Dr. Nadai really tries to understand his patients individual situation. He doesn't have the "they all fit in the same bubble" mindset. He tends to run late, but that's because he takes his time with you and makes sure you feel comfortable. He does have an interesting sense of humor that some may find offensive, but I don't feel he has any malicious intent. If you're going to be his patient, prepare yourself for a doctor who is very honest. His approach can hurt your feelings if you aren't used to dealing with blunt people, but he will be your greatest ally if you give him the chance.

I have been seeing Dr. Nadai for two years and I've had a pretty good experience with him. While I can understand others who have had a challenging time with him, mainly because I don't put it past him to act as mentioned, I don't find his off-color sense of humor, personality bothersome. I will say that he tends to run extremely behind so plan accordingly when seeing him for an office visit. However, when you're in his office, you have his undivided attention. He takes his time reacquainting himself with you and your medical chart. He take meticulous notes and will order whatever medical test, aside from blood work, to get a holistic view of you. He takes his time letting you know your medical options be it medication, surgery, or otherwise. He is available via Patient Gateway for small questions, suggestions, and options. That said, he isn't perfect, and he can be rough around the edge with hard but at his core he absolutely cares about your wellbeing and your overall success.

Center staff was professional and courteous. I cannot recommend this doctor to anyone who is working hard to loss weight. I would never going back to have the most unprofessional, disrespectful medical appointment of my all life. Seems like he just pre-judged you and you have no chance to ask questions or "defend yourself". If you want to feel horrible, sad and judged go there.

Very rude and laughed when I mentioned not wanting surgery. He told me I couldn't loose weight without having a surgical intervention Very discouraged and upset when I left his office. He made me feel worse and was NOT empathetic at all! Very unprofessional!

I find Dr.Nadai to be thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring with a wry sense of humor. He takes the time to peruse my medical record and informs himself not only about what has happened at the weight center, but also about the other health issues I have. He asks pertinent questions and is very encouraging without being judgmental. Dr. Nadai really wants you to be a part of the planning process and gently encourages you to have realistic goals. I'm happy with the weight center and Dr. Nadai.
