Dr. John O'Brien, MD

So the legend has retired! Thank you for almost forty years of great service. Don't cry because it is over but rather smile because it happened. A pox on the house of Mercy.

Dr. Obrien is just a rare find in doctors today. He listens to you, actually listens to you. I had the fortune to be in the room when he was training someone. He is so knowledgeable and impressive while humble. I can't say enough about him.

I do not recommend Dr O'Brien's office. Doctors are suppose to care for all their patient no matter the illness. I have never felt so unwelcome at a doctors office in my life until now.

I have seen Dr. OBrien for over 20 yrs, and have been driving almost 30 miles since moving to "God's country" 12 yr ago. As CEO of a small company in the 1990's and more recently as VP of a larger corporation, I feel Mercy's decision to jettison senior employees like Dr. OBrien will only cause them to descend deeper into the abyss. We already moved our boys over to him this year and my company will be re-evaluating our employee healthcare plan for 2022 since so many of us had been seeing Mercy specialists who were let go. We all miss Becky and wish her good health.

I give Dr. O'Brien a 20 out of 10 … He spends time with his patients, is excellent at explaining medical terms and various health issues. He never has rushed me out of the exam room … always made sure that he has covered all of my questions.

Always listens to my concerns

Dr. O and nurse Becky really are the best. I liked the old building too because both me and my husband have fallen walking from the Handicapped area since it is so long. At the other place we parkked next to the building and they shoveled the ice.

I've been seeing Dr. Obrien for 25+ years. I'm a tough critic so this says a lot! Becky is wonderful also.

Best doctor by far I have ever had. Explains EVERYTHING. Just wished he had stayed in the "homey" place as new office has confusing layout.

Dr. O'Brien has been my doctor for 20+ years, as well as my husband's. He takes time to listen and explain medical issues thoroughly. He never rushes you and I feel confident in the answers he gives me. I trust his knowledge and opinions completely. His long time nurse Becky is awesome also!

Never got to meet the man; never even got an appointment; I was curtly told that it would be a month before they had any openings and then the conversation was abruptly ended and they hung up.

I have been seeing Dr. O'Brien since I was born. I love that the staff are friendly and make you feel as at home as one can feel at the doctors office. It is that familiarity that eases nerves and makes going to the doctor easy to do and not a complicated process.
