Worst Podiatrist
Dr Powers saw me for a diabetic foot appointment. He cut my nails so short that one was bleeding days after. Tried calling the office and I called 4 times over two days with no return phone call. Terrible office… terrible Dr.

Tarsal tunnel surgery
After 4 years and unsuccessful attempts with 2 different foot ankle doctors, Dr. Powers identified and resolved my problem. At the first appointment he knew what the issue was. I had tarsal tunnel surgery and the result for my heel toe gait problem was immediate! I appreciate his knowledge and skill and am truly grateful. He's a great doctor who listens and explains things and is open to any questions you may have. His office staff is professional, kind and always helpful. Highly recommend!

Sloppy
He spent very little time with me especially considering my foot problems have been lifelong. He diagnosed a rare nerve problem called tarsal tunnel syndrome. Of course, he expected me just to believe and accept that diagnosis with no more evidence than his 3 minute exam. Surely, he should have followed up with nerve conduction testing, but he did not order any testing whatsoever. The visit felt VERY rushed. He falsely concluded that my left plantar fascia ligament had been cut during a previous surgery. (He clearly didn't examine or touch the left foot at all). A physical therapist later said that the left plantar fascia ligament had NOT been cut. After the exam, I was handed an order for crutches. I was confused since Dr. Powers did not discuss that at all with me. And words that Dr. Powers wrote on the office visit summary were illegible, so I had to ask for clarification. How can I trust him when he really messed up even the small stuff? Never going back there.

Dr Powers was kind and understanding.
We talked about other options at my appointment. The we try other options. But they do not work for me, so I had a tarsal tunnel surgery. I had my left foot done first then my right one done 2 months later. I'm back working full time and, on my feet, a lot. The office is so very kind and nice. If you have a problem, they will fit you in to have the Dr look at your problem. After surgery you will return Offen to have the Dr look at your foot to make sure you're healing. My last visit he told me if I need anything to call the office. I hope I don't need anything it's been a month since my surgery, and I'm do fantastic, and I just turned 66 years old this week.

Came to see Dr. Powers who diagnosed cause of my complaint. At my second visit he told me my option of surgery would be the most effective or taking meds. I opted for surgery. What a world of difference. My pain went away and my mobility came back strong. I would recommend Dr. Powers to anyone.

I wished that I had found this guy earlier! My surgery for my neuropathy was just what I needed for my leg and foot. I healed up in no time and looking forward to having my other leg done! Good Doctor and a good man! He treats you like you are a friend instead of a patient! Five stars all around for him and his staff!

I NEVER write online reviews, but I believe that Dr. Powers has given me my life back after surgery on both feet/legs for nerve entrapment/tarsal tunnel after 10+ years of suffering. Now post surgery 120 days on leg #1, and 30 days on leg #2, I can say that swelling & hypersensitivity is immensely reduced, and pain/numbness is almost completely gone (I'm now planning a hike & joining a gym)! Dr. Powers is a caring & very knowledgeable doctor/surgeon. I thank him .... and highly recommend him!

Having diabetic neuropathy can be very debilitating for someone who works on their feet 12 hours a day. Dr Powers gave me my livelihood back by simply being the kind of Dr. who listens, ask questions, talks with you straight and gives you options to review. After researching my options we decided on Tarsal Tunnel surgery. The results on the right leg and foot were so successful we did the left leg and foot. I highly recommend Dr. Powers and his staff, a great addition to my family. Thank you.

He did Tarsal tunnel surgery on my foot. $2000 out of my pocket and a painful rehab. I went to two other podiatrists later on who told me they never do my type of surgery without first doing a nerve conduction study-which Powers never did. (they both said my type of surgery was rare). When I did the N.C. study it was found I had neuropathy-not tarsal tunnel syndrome! I trusted Powers. That was a mistake. He's in it to get money out of your pocket. If he recommends surgery, get another opinion.

Dr. Powers was very professional and gave me excellent patient care. He identified the bone spur on the big toe joint and hammer toe on adjoining toe. He was thorough and was very accurate in describing the healing process. He has a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to work with. The end result is no more pain!

At my first appointment it became clear that Dr Powers was the first and only doctor who read all the previous diagnoses, and reviewed the x-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs of all the specialists I had been seeing for the previous two years. He speaks plain English and quickly and correctly diagnosed my foot drop problem as a nerve constraint issue while talking to ME, not a COMPUTER. He performed minor surgery, which has restored total control over my foot. I have full faith in Dr Powers' ability.
