Sensitive People
I normally don’t leave reviews for medical Professionals but before my visit I saw all the terrible reviews Dr. Saad has. I did not have a bad experience at all! Dr Saad is just real and isn’t there to get to know you he’s there to help you. I had a way better experience with him than I did with Dr Barros. I actually feel like I’m on the path to feeling better now that I have seen Dr. Saad.

Unable to preform job well
Today I had my 1st apt with Dr.Saad. I was referred to by my GP for a repeat Tonsillitis complaint & to see them removed. I immediately shut down when he entered the room. I felt it best to not disclose my education in the feild of Neuropathology and physiology (bio-Chem as well). Maybe I should have because he treated like an idiot. He did not address my main concern & instead hyper focused on IF my Amox allergy was real. As well as said my throat hurts because I breath through my mouth. He did not address the repetitive swelling & pustules I've been having on my Tonsils nor did he do any investigation into these repetitive incidents. After using his camera to check my sinuses, explained I suffer from PND. When asked if there was a clear sign of PND he pointed out they way I was wiping my nose as a sing of congestion. Evidently my lack of congestion before the camera incursion was over looked. I have never met a Scripps doctor to be as incapable as Dr.Saad.

Lymph biopsy
Went in for a biopsy. I have severe nerve pain months later. I should have gotten a better surgeon. Now when I contact his office, they won’t even acknowledge my complaint. Scripps is a good hospital, but Dr Saad is the weak link. Don’t let him operate on you. He might be a good ENT doctor, but he’s a very bad surgeon.

I went to Dr. Saad for vertigo and headaches. He was the most condescending arrogant dr I have ever met. He told me to just enjoy the spinning sensation when it happens. He also prescribed me flonase when there is absolutely nothing blocking my sinuses. Absolutely the worst experience.

Dr Saad is an incredible physician. He is the best at what he does, and I would much rather have surgery performed by an aloof expert instead of a quack who’s a really nice guy. We aren’t there to make friends! We are there to be treated by a Dr who is the greatest in his field! Dr Saad is the best there is!

This man is a disgrace to the Scripps medical team! All the doctors I have seen greet me with a smile, listen to me when I express my concerns and explain to me what the problem is thoroughly as well as what needs to be done. This "doctor" did not seem to care about my concerns and dismissed everything I said. Instead of checking me for what I was there for he started looking for other things he could find and literally told me not to take the medications my other doctors prescribed making me question his credibility as other reviews say as well. Immediately went to the receptionist and will be switching doctors. I NEVER want to see this man again in my life. Very rude and degrading, will literally roll eyes if you don't know an answer to his question when it is imposible to know because I am not a doctor but compared to him anyone can be a better doctor by just ordering and prescribing random stuff without answering any concerns at all. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! STAY AWAY!!

I consulted Dr. Saad for the most prosaic of aliments: chronic sinusitis and post-nasal discharge. The hour-long encounter was the most bizarre and incoherent I have ever had. I walked away having no idea what the point of it all was, except that I should consult an allergist. "I'm not an allergist," was the one statement that I understood.

Miserable, rude, and a bully. I wish I would have sought out reviews instead of trusting the "Scripps" name. Stay away. There are other, highly skilled doctors that don't feel the need to treat their patients thusly. Another reviewer said this: "He didn't listen to a word I said, interrupted me, berated me for not giving him the answers he apparently wanted." This is a spot-on assessment of my experience as well. He also coded my billing so that I would have to pay a LARGE sum in a situation where it should have not been the case. Now, I am left fighting that.

Stay away! He is short tempered and a bully. One might put up with this if he was exemplary in his field, but believe me he is not.

I had seen Dr. Saad for over 20 years. In the past, perhaps before Scripps Clinic compressed their doctors' schedules, he was consistently nice, caring, jovial, and excellent as a ENT doctor. In the past couple of years (2018 - 2019), his demeanor has been more unpredictable. When I read some of the 2-star and 3-star reviews about how he does not listen, does not care (though he does care), is rude, etc., that is what I have been experiencing as well. I have decided after over two decades of being his patient to switch to another ENT specialist (with consistent 5-star) reviews, and I will see how that goes. It is sad. But I need a doctor who listens and communicates with me rather than at me. Techinically, I am sure he is an excellent doctor; however, his bedside manner has changed over the years.

I think Dr. Saad doesn't realize that in trying to ferret out reasons for stuffy nose and one event in which I had true difficulty breathing through nose, that he comes across as an overbearing and insulting interrogator. He advised me, that if I came back, to bring someone with me. That's not likely.

I feel so much better reading everyone else's reviews because this visit was abysmal. He didn't listen to a word I said, interrupted me, berated me for not giving him the answers he apparently wanted. I had to have a nurse in the room with me because I was in tears. I just needed help for my symptoms and he treated me like garbage. Then before I left, he tried to talk me out of getting the test I needed because "most people are fine but you have a sensitive personality so you won't be." He is a disgrace to the Scripps network.

My experience has been very different. Dr. Saad would not be the Division Chief of Head and Neck Surgery and Otologie at Scripps, if any of those extremely negative reviews were justified. Dr. Saad is a friendly, calm, competent, and highly experienced surgeon. In all my meetings with D. Saad (pre-op, surgery of deviated septum, post-op), I was impressed. He gave easy to understand, common sense instructions, and everything went as planned. Dr. Saad has my full trust and I highly recommend him.

This man should not be allowed to practice on living beings. Like others, I saw him for a small and benign issue. He described it both pre and post surgery as a small pimple in my tongue. Yet he managed to sever the main muscle in my tongue. Yes he deformed my tongue severely. He would not explain his error and instead gave me painful cortisone shots in the area, perhaps hoping they'd perform a miracle. Also I now understand this is medically dangerous to give so many cortisone shots so quickly.

He is extremely overpriced. He is also, very condescending and rude. He has no bedside manner. I have a bad gag reflex and he placed an instrument up my nose and down my throat. I was in horrible pain and visibly upset. Instead of removing the instrument he continued. He made me feel ashamed for being in pain and upset. Do not go to this doctor. He is not worth the cost.
