He saved my life after I got shot in the head.
He saved my life. I got shot in the back of the head with a .44 Hollow Point and I still have 2 bullet fragments in my brain. I was in surgery for hours and he worked so carefully not to leave me as a vegetable. Nobody would ever know I've been shot but it did make me almost blind and it is getting worse, not his fault. The bullet destroyed the section that controls the vision. Without him I wouldn't be alive today. Now all I need to do is find out how to get some medical records from his office wherever that maybe and I'd be thrilled. I just love him and he is hilarious with a great sense of humor at least with me. Thanks for taking great care of me. I was in the hospital 2 weeks!!!!!!

Wondering
When I went to the records dept a while back it spit out his records of me to a neurologist that said he thinks I had multiple sclerosis and just love how I was never told, especially since I have been sick for many years and these doctor's in WV know nothing.

I will say that the Good Lord and Dr. Schmidt are the reasons I am able to walk today. Dr. Schmidt did back surgery (bad injury, accident) on me in 2006. I am 69 years old now and still able to get around ok. Thank you Dr. Schmidt, YOU ARE THE BEST.

I was referred to Dr Schmidt by my neurologist for his evaluation of my 2 MRIs. He so very diplomatically told me my spine problems were a result of age (which it is) and trying to "fix it" would run a risk of doing more harm to me than there would be benefits. I appreciated his honesty and being forthright with his information. I certainly don't want surgery on my spine if it's not absolutely necessary! I would recommend him to anyone who needed an experienced neurosurgeon!

Very rude. Never examined me. Said that I'm getting older and things don't work like they used to. Told me if it hurts then don't do it. I have herniated disks in my back and EVERYTHING hurts. What a waste of time and money. $257.36 for 1 visit for notbing!!
