He should never be near sick people
My sister was in the Enclave for 4 months. I was there every day, almost all day. During that time Dr. Sorrell was a ghost. He had no interaction with me, despite my frequent requests for a consultation regarding my sister’s diagnosis and care. Her health continued to decline. She is better now that she is home and getting the care she needs. Twice I saw him enter her room and leave within 30 seconds. I heard him say, Get well. That was it. Any need for medicine changes took weeks. When I suspected she had a UTI, it took 10 days of constant requests to get a urine test. It was positive. Her symptoms included psychological changes that the nurses assumed was dementia. As soon as she finished the antibiotics, she was fine. I saw him sign a stack of documents without reading them. The patient across the hall had to bring in a lawyer to get the staff's attention for their loved one. The nursing staff was wonderful but seriously understaffed. Read LessSubmitted Dec 24, 2024

Should not treat a petting zoo
He was my discharging Dr. from Methodist Hospital. He wrote wrong prescriptions. One medicine which was critical, he gave me 2.5 days instead of two weeks. The staff tried and tried to get him to just come by on his way out and sign the correct prescriptions and he refused to cooperate. I had to go back to ER and get admitted again to get correct meds. The one time I saw this Dr. Was on discharge, his bedside manner was beyond disgusting and discouraging. He clearly doesn’t care about patients or even professional courtesy. It’s almost like he had an aversion from giving the correct meds. The rest of the staff was more than incredible. But in my opinion, he shouldn’t be allowed to treat a petting zoo, let alone seriously ill patients.

He has been my father's physician at the Enclave for over three weeks. Have never been able to talk to the guy even though I have requested a meeting several times. He totally avoids the family and my father does not even know who Dr. Sorrells is because of such little interaction. Never seen such a disregard for the family and primary caregiver of elderly patients.
