Overall terrible experience. I came into the ER because I was feeling very sick. Dr. Stowers came in asking about symptoms so I told him. He conducted no tests. When he returned he stated “you basically have COVID and there’s nothing we can do about that.” I asked Dr. Stowers for a COVID test and he refused to test me for COVID. The reason I asked for the test was to confirm I have COVID or not to then let my employer know. Dr. Stowers was insensitive and not helpful at all. He even suggested I continue going to my work place without knowing for certain if I have COVID or not. Dr Stowers stated “there’s no quarantine so it really doesn’t matter you can just go to work with COVID, but there’s nothing else to do. If you want to get tested you can go to a pharmacy.” He asked me if I wanted a note for work and I stated “Well no I don’t want a note if I’m not sure I even have COVID - you stated I basically have COVID but you never confirmed it with a test.” Dr. Stowers replied “Do you want the note or not,” in a very rude manner. I would not recommend visiting this doctor. You’re better off self diagnosing instead of wasting your time with a doctor that doesn’t do his job properly with a good attitude.

While visiting Hershey, I experienced a medical emergency and found myself in the care of Dr. Stowers. Hands down one of the best medical professionals I've ever had. Not only did he provide and address all my questions with extensive knowledge, but genuinely had a heart and concern for those he treats.
