Does not care
Dr Wrightson is actually a compassionate doctor but now he relies on his physicians assistants and it is apparent they do not care and do not listen to their patients

Great Dr and PA, Horrendously Rude Staff
Office staff is RUDE with high turnover. They’ve got a short fuse, and speak to patients in condescending tones. Dr. Wrightson is an excellent Dr, and his PA is wonderful and also highly recommended. Unfortunately, they’ve merged with another practice that now requires a monthly appointment. If you travel for business, visit out of state parents or simply take a vacation, their practice will put you on suboxone (withdrawal med) until you can come in. This is unacceptable. For patients with chronic pain, and need medication in order to live and function normally, they’re being hung to dry. Insurance approves a 3 month supply, yet with their new rules, especially in a town where many ppl travel out of the country or across the US for their job, exactly how will pain management needs be addressed? Forget about calling the office and speaking to a real person. They’ve implemented the Klara system and will text you back once they see your message and take time to reply.

Pain management
Dr. Wrightson and his Associates treat all patients individually. They find out thew history , assessment of patients symptoms what the individual plans if treatments should be. Very experienced in pain management and stays up to date on all treatments for pain. His staff carries on with his evaluations. I have been going to their pain clinic for several years, and have excellent service! I received a Nero pain stimulator and it changed my life! No one had ever presented this as an option but they did and it worked!!! But more importantly Christine and Dr Writson I believe saved me from a horrible future. 3 weeks ago I got my mri report and sent it to them and in 5 minutes they called me and had me scheduled with a dr and to see immediately as I needed surgery immediately. Name me one Dr that has ever done that! Christine has called me to see how I was doing As far as I’m concerned everybody I know will get them as a recommendation from me and I will never forget how they saved my life .

Worst experience ever
After only 6 months of being a patient, I went for an injection (had never even met the Dr himself). There was a large (insulting to me, maybe not to others) political sticker on the front door, which I think is inappropriate in any business. Then the Dr has 2 dogs running around in the treatment areas! There is no way that could be considered sterile and I certainly wasn't going to allow that to happen. Already upset, then I was told I had to type in my whole medical history and medication list since their system hadn't been switched over electronically or something, even though I wasn't a new patient. I was so upset, I cancelled the appointment. The next day, I went for my medication appt, and they said I had to pay $100 for the cancelled injection or they wouldn't see me, then they refused to prescribe me any more meds. I had already found another Dr to try so good riddance!

The doctor himself is knowledgeable and helpful however his staff are really disrespectful. They are truly lacking in bedside manner and it’s reprehensible for a health care practice to treat their patients that way. Condescension has no place in healthcare. I’m already feeling lousy, giving me attitude and treating me like I am lesser than is enough to make me find a different doctor. It’s sad. Stay away from this office if you can. They’ll treat you like a criminal just for asking questions.

Dr Wrightson is great. His office staff is horrendous. Their phone skills leave a lot to be desired. I called at 5 minutes before closing to give them some information. They put me on hold and at closing time the answering service kicked in and disconnected me.

My experience at this office was HORRIBLE! Dr. Wrightson was ok, but you never see him it's always the PA. The staff is very disrespectful to patients. They threaten to hold your prescriptions from you if you owe them money. Then they will turn on you and tell the Dr. that you did things or said things that ARE NOT true! Then the DR. will release you from his care without weaning you off your meds. So your left to go through withdrawals without real help. Then they NEVER send records to new Dr

No privacy. Coercive behaviors required to obtain care. Contract unclear. Instructions never provided in writing. Op convents are signed without physician interaction. I would under no circumstances recommend this poorly run practice. Additionally one never sees the actual physician. If a call is made with questions reactions are punitive. The practice is dangerous and unsafe

WATCH OUT, the mail order prescription plan they tried to force on me would have cost six times what the local pharmacy charged. Pity the poor people who were paying cash. I was told by the PA that they got a split of what was collected from the pharmacy service. Opiate problem nationwide, wonder why, DEA should get a appointment here. Office was filthy.

bill in Beaver Falls, PA – Jan 30, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Wrightson?
In the last 6 months I've had an average of 4 minutes a visit with the Dr or PA. They come in long enough to write a prescription and do what's needed on the computer and they're gone. Billing sucks. My first bill came 4 months after my first appointment which showed the Dr I was seeing was a out of network Dr for my insurance. Sending me for testing that is never brought up again is a waste and of course doing testing on me that they assure me is covered by insurance that's Not is a real treat
