Absolutely the best
Dr Engh removed my brain tumor in 2021. Could not have asked for a better outcome or a better doctor. He has continued to follow up and assures me that all is well. I feel very blessed that he was available when I needed him.

I have struggled with some form of back pain since my teenage years. Shortly before my 32nd birthday my pain became so great that I could barely walk, or even roll over in bed. A month ago I had my consultation with Dr Engh. Long story short he recommended a major surgery, PILF. I was terrified, but he was straightforward, confident, and I could feel how much he genuinely cared about me getting better so I went for it. I had my surgery 5 days ago, 8/14/2023, only 5 days, I have cried every day since then because even though I just had a major spinal surgery, my pain is less than it was. I can stand for longer periods of time than I could beforehand. Dr Engh has given me a chance for a quality of life that I honestly had lost all hope for, and he made it look easy. If you are scared of back surgery, I understand completely, if Johnathan Engh is your doctor, don’t be. Thanks Dr. Engh, I can’t wait to see how I feel in another month or year or two. You have changed my life.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Engh. All I can say is that he is God sent. He gave me my world back. I had been so worried about my condition for awhile (as anyone would be). Immediately when he entered the exam room I felt at ease with him. He explained in detail what was going on with me. Told me to pull up a chair so we could review the MRI together. His manner is awesome. I would like to thank him, Melissa and Lawanda for their wonderful treatment of a big chicken (me). He will be the only neuro that I will be seeing from now on. Thank you LMC for having him there

Dr. Engh is one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen! His skills and talent are what played a huge role in the reason I’m still alive. I had a tumor in the temporal lobe of my brain that other surgeons refused to remove and told me to wait a few years and see how my symptoms progressed. I’m not a ‘wait and see on this brain tumor that could be cancerous’ type of person. Dr. Engh said he could remove it and that’s what he did. I had a craniotomy and he did a 100% resection. The tumor was found to be grade 1 benign. I thank God every day of my life for providing me with the expertise and care of Dr. Engh. He’s very thorough and at the same time very caring. He makes sure to answer all of your questions to the best of his ability. He’ll take care of you as if you’re family. I’m in Pittsburgh and was so deeply saddened to hear that he was moving to SC. If I ever needed brain surgery again I’d find a way to travel and be operated on by Dr. Engh because he’s the best of the best neurosurgeons.

When Cleveland clinic was unwilling to perform a brain biopsy on me because of difficult position of my lesion, dr. Engh was confident and put me at ease. Biopsy went very smooth and he spoke to me and my husband like real people with lots of empathy and detail. Love him for his professionalism and caring nature! I'm a 43 year old mom with a 3 year old that is scared about my health but I feel very confident with Dr. Engh!! The only Dr. To personally talk to my husband after surgery??

Dr. Engh performed a successful brain resection on my brother recently. His brilliant expertise and thoroughness is equally matched by his caring and patient demeanor. He is THE best and we feel extremely fortunate to have him as my brother 's surgeon.
