I had an invasive, triple negative breast cancer. With the BRCA1 gene, both breasts had to go. Still young (under 50) I was a perfect candidate for DIEP. Dr. Chang highly recommended it. I was scared, at first, but now, almost one year out, I could not be happier with the results. Yes, at first you may want to die, but you do recover. The breasts look totally natural. The tummy tuck was difficult at first, much appreciated now. My husband says I look even better than when we married!
