I was a patient of Dr. Burns. She came off as rude and very brief. Her office staff also got my medical record mixed up with someone else’s. When I went back in for my 6 weeks check up, she thought that my health insurance had expired and acted as if she didn’t want to see me. I don’t recommend her at all. She is very insensitive.

I had to see Dr. Burns as a stand-in about 1 week before my due date because my regular doctor was on vacation. Dr. Burns, in my experience, had very poor bedside manner. She was not pleased with the questions I asked her and when I asked her if she was going to check my dilation (as my regular doctor did the week before) she got annoyed with me. I found her to be very rough physically and very gruff in her mannerisms. I would not go back to see her again.

Dr. Burns' office is very flexible about scheduling and understanding if you are running late, just call and touch base. Her staff is very welcoming and can give you very honest advice especially when it comes to family planning/birth control because they also go to Dr. Burns. I think its pretty incredible that she's still able to do everything just as timely as before considering that she is probably in great demand now.

Doesn't practice patient based care. Birth is a very personal thing, and the decisions surrounding it should be made by the woman after being informed of choices by the doctor. This should not be a dictatorship.

I met Dr. Burns one time and that one time I left very happy and relieved. She took her time and really talked to me. That's what I need in a doctor. Not just in and out. I recommend her to anyone that likes to be treated with care.
