Dr. Jon Karl, MD

First time I met Dr Karl was just before a hip injection procedure. He was friendly, knowledgeable and told me exactly what to expect during the procedure and after. The procedure was not scary, because he told me what I would feel just before I felt it. I am so thankful for the pain relief!

Awful!

Made me worse and won't admit it. Very very disappointed!

He didn’t seem to really care or want to even listen to me. He didn’t ask many questions or get much info . He gave me a series of shots. after the last one I called 3 or 5 days later said it wasn’t working, they changed what they originally said and told me to wait three weeks so I did. 3 weeks pass I call back tell him I’m in extreme horrible pain and not sleeping at all because of it. So I asked what can I do cause I’ve been dealing with this horrible pain for months now and it’s not better and I need some relief!& sleep . HIS RESPONSE: go to the emergency room (and no other advice on what I could do for this pain) (no further appointments set up to see him)which I had went to the ER just a week or 2 prior & they kept me overnight because of my pain was so out of control. It’s like he doesn’t want to help and doesn’t care I’m having to live for months in horrible unbearable relentless pain that won’t even let me sleep. I am so upset at how he’s treated me.

Horrible experience, staff is callous, Doctor is a strong word I wouldn’t use.

I have been suffering from Spinal Disease for many years and have seen many Doctors in 3 states. Doctor Karl is the BEST Spinal Pain Caregiver I have ever encountered. He is very Experienced, Caring, Understanding and a great Listener! In addition, his Staff is also WONDERFUL! From the moment I first met Doctor Karl, I knew he would do his very best to ease my suffering and get to the root of my problem…and he hasn’t disappointed me! Please keep Dr. Karl on your team…I don’t know what I would do without him!

I searched for over two years for a genuine orthopedic doctor who took the time and energy out to listen to my story. I thought I was never going to find them. I was wrong, I ended up finding Dr Karl and his Staff. I must say, though it was just my first initial appointment, I was beyond impressed and thankful to have finally found a welcoming environment with caring individuals! They got me registered fast, no more went back to the waiting room and took a seat and within 3 minutes, I was called back to the room! I had my daughter with me, she is 7, and she even enjoyed the appt because everyone was so caring and welcoming. I finally have hope & feel like my life is going to turn around and be able to go back to normal again! I know it will be a long road as this is just the beginning, but I have confidence in Dr Karl and he truly does care and wants nothing but the best! I will update with another review in 2 months after more time with them! STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM AND HIS STAFF!!!

Dr. Karl was super thorough with all the pain I was in and did there best to find the cause. Also the staff is all super nice! They all made me feel welcomed. I've had problems with other places making me feel uncomfortable because of my age and the amount of pain I'm in, and Dr. Karl's staff did not do that. They listened and he listened to everything and helped me find solutions. That itself makes this a great place to go for ALL ages. Well bed side manners, makes you feel welcomed, listens to all of the problems, then tries to give you the best solution for you. Great place. I full recommend.

Dr. Karl has been involved in my health care for many years. I have had a variety of issues, and he has been excellent in explaining choices for solutions. His discussions of what is happening and what the various choices might be for remedies has been quite interactive and complete. There have been no surprises. I have had a few procedures involving my back. Each one has been explained thoroughly with opportunity for discussion. When he has performed procedures, he has "talked me through" the process as he is working. He and his staff work well together. I have been extremely happy to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Karl is superior in his field. He spends time with me and answers all my questions. I would fully recommend him to anyone dealing with pain.

Dr Jon Karl found the issue causing my pain others missed! Yes, I had a protruding disc in my L3 area of my back but my worst pain was down in my L5 area. The original x-ray did not show this but afterward, I continued to push for an answer from my main doctors and a new x-ray showed 2 broken screws in my L5 area. Dr Karl knew that area wasn't right from a physical examination and didn't even need the x-ray. Kudos to Dr. Karl

Dr. Karl has been my Dr. for a few years now and I have always felt that he was concerned about how I was doing. If I ever have questions or concerns about anything he always answered and listened. I never feel like I'm being rushed. Everyone at Ortho is so pleasant. If you are looking for a good caring Dr. then I would definitely recommend Dr. Karl.

Dr. Karl is great. Most of his staff are too. He listens and that’s big for me.
