Great care!
I have been a patient of Dr Nichols for years and he has always been thorough, professional, patient and kind. He has done several procedures for me (multiple colonoscopies, EGD & colon resection). Last week I had an EGD done and exactly a week later his nurse called with results. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Nichols was dismissive, didn’t listen, lacked compassion and was in receptive to questions. I do wonder if I had been a man if he would have handled my case differently. He shamed me for seeking medical attention for a severe pain I was experiencing, which was creating a mystery for my health care providers due to limited findings on imaging and blood work. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

My older son was/is very sick. We went thru OP Regional Med center and he was admitted to the hospital. We waited for 3 days for Nichols to show up for an endoscopy. When he finally did he had the worst most unprofessional attitude and refused to do it, and said that we should keep using a med that he couldnt keep down. My son had lost nearly 20 lbs, and had been in the ER 3x over the last 10days. (At another hospital and dr they found a bad ulcer and saved his life)

Seen him at the hospital. He seemed great and told me he had taken a couple of biopsies during the endoscopy. He said the results would be available in a week. I called his nurse to find out the results and she kept insisting he had explained all results at the hospital. I told her the biopsies weren't available for results and he told me it would be a week. She finally said everything was normal. If there were biopsies and they were normal, why didn't she just say so? Poor patient care!

Dr Nichols did my colonoscopy. The whole experience at Endoscopic Imaging Center was excellent. The nursing staff and Dr Nichols were very professional and courteous. Everyone kept me appraised of the process during my time at the clinic.

Recently, I had emergency hernia surgery. I saw Dr. Nichols a short time before the surgery, but since he didn't examine me, listen to me, or spend much time reviewing my records, he didn't diagnose the hernia. I'm glad I went to a doctor who took an extra five minutes me to diagnose the problem, but I was in pain for a lot longer than necessary. Dr. Nichols seems like a nice man, but he simply must take more time with his patients, so that they get the proper treatment.
