Bedside manner leaves much to be desired.
He makes you feel like he is being bothered. Kind of a 'hurry up and lets get this over with' vibe. Not a very personable doctor. When surgery is involved we the patients or myself the spouse need some questions answered so we know what to expect, maybe even in a more compassionate way. The way he talks to you it's as if you're stupid. I came in feeling good with a few questions in hand to help in the recovery for my husband, then. left feeling awful at the way I was treated. Very cold!

Great doctor and efficient staff
Doctor took time to listen and understood my issues and offered multiple options which is important for me and not just offering surgery. Staff worked quickly and efficiently to get me in and my referral. Great service

Bedside manner
First piece I was emotional because my entire life is based around my physical. I have a ton going on mentally I am wrecked. So for that sake I will be transparent with that. But that’s the thing. He is the doctor he sees this everyday. I go to appointment all seems nice get to room and wait. Doctor comes in he was about to start on lower back . I did interrupt him because I wanted to jump right to my neck. I been worried about everything. So he tells me a little about my neck all the way until the not smoking. I will admit I didn’t like hearing that because that’s how I been screwed out of healthcare before. Do this and we help. Anywho that basically ended whole appointment never found out lower back. To top it off he came across like I got all these degrees and your a dumb civilian. Maybe I caught him on bad day. But I will be dead before I get help. It’s ridiculous. Falling can’t grab things all the time. Dropping things. Blackouts and cognitive not good.

Dr Allen and his staff are friendly, professional and very timely with scheduling. Some doctors have you waiting all day but not at this office. I'm very glad I was referred here by my primary and look forward to my up coming surgery to get rid of my back pain. I know I'm in good hands. I would refer Dr Allen to anyone that is living with back pain. He is worth the wait of the long referral process. Thank you ??

We had a very negative experience here with Jonathan Allen MD. My Wife Huong was injured at work in Sept 2019 and we believe she has brain damage from this injury after hitting her head on a heavy Iron Door (large Lock safe type Door). We waited 2 months for this appt Now Mar 2019 when Jonathan Allen recommended a neurologist. My Wife had to stop her work because it was not safe for her to drive or work. Unemployed with no income since Nov 2019 My Wife now has to wait longer to see a Neurologist partially due to Covid 19 We can not get an Appt anytime soon. We ask Jonathan Allen to sign a medial part B form so My Wife can get on temporary disability. Jonathan's office can easily sign this form for EDD to help us, but declined to help. We are very disappointed and feel this Doctor does not care to help anyone but him self. This is Wrong. Now April 2020. No income and Wife Seriously injured.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Allen?
Dr. Allen effortlessly articulates his knowledge and is thorough in ensuring diagnosis and treatment. His bedside manner is beyond the professionals in his speciality towards his patients as well as their family members when surgery is required to address specific issues. He is not quick to suggest surgery but his provides all available options. He is honest, trustworthy, relatable, reliable, knowledgeable , caring, patient, supportive, and everything you could possibly desire in an orthopedic doctor.
