I am very happy with the level of care and attention I have so far received from Dr. Applebaum. I feel he genuinely cares and listens to me and I don’t feel rushed. He called me at home and patiently went over all of my test results and even called me on his day off to explain a medication that had been called in for me.

on my initial visit I told the Dr. I was only looking for RX refills and establishing a dr. pt. relationship. I handed him all of my Optum RX paperwork giving him the drugs I use and the refill amounts of 90 days. His office was very unresponsive to their "quick messaging" system they recommended. For yrs. I am used to leaving a message on a nurse line for refills and having them taken care of within 24-48 hrs. . It was exhausting going back and forth for days at a time online to get a simple refill. Subsequently, when I asked for the refill for a medicine for 90 days Optum got in touch for only a 30 day refill. The Dr. never called to discuss why he would not give me a 90 day RX. I stated online, every time I only rec'v a 30 day refill I am charged a $3.95 co-pay, instead of $0 for 90 days. I told the Dr. online that I could not afford to continue to pay $3.95 for every refill every 30 days and why does he not call to discuss. He was argumentative with me and I am done with him.
