Update to Dr gaslight review.
Update review. Because he did not chart or note my symptoms as I got worse other doctors in my town, consulted with him and did not believe me. I was sent to the hospital in May, 5 months after seeing 'doctor' Belk. I was sent there by a PEDIATRICIAN who I finally ended up seeing me after no one believed me at ALL except this PEDIATRICIAN. Within a minute of meeting her she said 'I think you have a disease called myasthenia gravis.' This is a neurological autoimmune. It creates speech issues and weakness and eyelid droopin and a hell of a lot more when left untreated. All things I reported on my paperwork that he completely ignored. Dr Belk didn't note any of this so neurologists at the hospital say no 'progression', i.e, I had no symptoms reported from Dr. Belks case notes. Instead they decided I have conversion disorder. My new pcp treated me. I was fully diagnosed 8 months after this appointment with a feeding tube in and starving to death because I couldn't chew.

One of the best medical exames I ever had.
The visit was very punctual. I was taken right in and the nurse checked vitals. Dr Belk came in and asked what was going on and symptoms. He listened very intently and did the exam explaining the results. The equipment he used was up to date. He was very professional and courteous. He gave me some recommendations and good advise. He and all the staff were awesome. I have already recommended him to a friend.

Dr gaslight
What's a joke of a doctor. I've been having issues since March when referred to Dr. Belk. Horrible experience. Advised me 100% of the population has bulging discs, mine should not cause me pain. He then told me I look like a "real headachey kind of girl" to explain the pain away. Diagnosed my ulnar entrapment, which according to him must be caused because I sleep all curled up. Which I don't and explained. He shrugged. Here is the best part of his gas lighting especially for me. When I asked about my speech that starts sluring and stuttering, he looked at my chart, saw that I take an anxiety med and told me that it is obviously from my anxiety, didn't ask me anything about it or why I may take anxiety meds, but no. He just made assumptions. I don't know if because I'm a female and he is just like that or he was just especially rude to me, bit either was. I suggest running from this "doctor".
