Did not even know how old I was after 10 minutes. I asked him as he walked out the door. Then could not get out of the office fast enough even though I had more questions to ask him.

Annual Check-up with Dr. Gendel
I have been going to Dr. Gendel for the past two years and have been very pleased with how thorough his annual check-ups have been. He goes through all the bloodwork results in detail and does a good job explaining areas of concern and answering any questions I may have about my health.

Awful and aloof
I was looking for a new General Practioner, after I "lost" my wonderful primary caregiver, after having been her patient for about 15 years. Dr. Gendel will DEFINITELY not be replacing her. The first intro visit was bad (last Dec), the second visit just a couple of days ago, even worse. He could care less, who walks into his office. It was also absolutely "condescending" to refer to me as "my dear". And to think that I had to wait for 6 months to get a first appointment is/was absurd.

Not a good listener, superficial
Never knocks on patient's waiting room, just barges in suddenly. Not a good listener. Never felt cared about, felt treated like a number. Too many follow ups requested per year for no good reason. Not recommended ! Hard to work with as a patient.

I’m a 48 year old woman with multiple degenerative conditions. I’m permanently disabled with severe spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease, meaning I live in agony every day. I’m bedbound most of the time. My neurologist suggested that I get a primary doctor to prescribe pain medication. So I found Dr. Gendel, who wrote me a prescription for Norco and (when the pharmacy called him to confirm) Dr. Gendel CANCELLED the prescription, simply because I had Norco prescribed by an oral surgeon (after THREE tooth extractions) and a hospitalist (after six days in hospital with a stoma blockage). I do not live on narcotics, but Gendel decided I was drug seeking. Flaky, uncaring, and heartless! Now, I’m almost out of pain meds and have to start all over again. No compassion in this doctor. Look elsewhere.

All here does is listen to my chest, and then requests more blood test in 4 months (all tests have been normal in the past) and another office visit. Charges for an extended visit for a 5 minute visit.
