Dr. Jonathan Kruger, MD

Both appointments extremely rushed. At first visit, the doctor presented as detached and not empathetic. No effort made to comfort patient or answer questions after bad news delivered. I then sent him an email message that I was really concerned about my eyes. Despite my expressed concern, no change in approach at follow up. He finally suggested a diagnosis to me, but wanted to refer me out to a different doctor. I felt this decision should have been made much sooner. Again, about a few minutes with me, interrupting my questions, telling me to 'hold on' while he looked at charts. When I began asking a few of my questions I had written down for recall, doctor ran out of room, telling me to wait until after consulting the next doctor. Very unprofessional and dismissive of my inquiries. Information, compassion, and clarity to patients is critical, especially during first visits. Unfortunately, little to no effort was initiated in these areas, at least with me.

Dr Kruger performed an ultrasound laser cataract surgery on me on 3/8/23 and I’m so pleased with the outcome! Excellent doctor who keeps you calm through the entire procedure. I had both eyes done at the same time. The next day my vision was 20/20 for distance and all I need are reading glasses only. So happy I had this done with Dr Kruger!

Dr. Kruger arrived over thirty minutes late to the appointment and when he did, he was rushing through it and made it clear with his speech and body language that he was trying to get rid of me as soon as possible. I understand that doctors are busy and have other patients to see but his behavior was rather unprofessional and unpleasant. Also, the nurse who came in over half an hour before him was very rude.
