Outstanding physician
I went in for wrist pain and swelling. After assessing my wrist, he asked me to tell him about the skin condition on my arm. I have been under a Dermatologist’s care for eczema for a month, but the appearance is unusual as it is crusty ulcers all over my arm. He told me what type of eczema it is even though this is not his specialty. I had never heard of it and no one seeing it thinks it is eczema. Then he proceeded to order X-rays and treatment for my wrist. He had obviously reviewed my medications, because he told me I could not take any arthritis medication with my blood thinner. I knew this, but my experience is that most docs are not that thorough in looking at patient history. I used to be an RN and I tend to be very critical of doctors. Dr Ostroff passed my critic with flying colors!

Misinformed
I tested positive for COVID and was directed to Jefferson Urgent Care for treatment because my PCP was unavailable. Dr. Ostroff was friendly and professional at first but, to my surprise, told me there was nothing he could do for me. He declined to prescribe antiviral medication because 'it has to be administered within the first 48 hours' of the appearance of symptoms. THAT IS NOT CORRECT. The window for administering antiviral meds for COVID is 5 days. Shouldn't he know this? I want to believe that he just made a mistake but people's lives can hinge on his decisions. Of course, there is no way to reach him because the UC doctors rotate between sites and no one at the office I visited is willing to intervene to correct the error. Instead, they are blaming my PCP for not treating me himself -- zero accountability. Now my family and I are stuck waiting for the infection to run its course and hoping it doesn't get passed on to anyone else in the meantime.

Worst Doctor I have ever dealt with in my life, very disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. His attitude seems like he can talk and treat people any way he pleases and has no one to answer to.
