No time to pay attention
Perhaps he was having a bad day when I saw him, but, wow, I have never felt more blown off by a doctor. I was seeing him after an MRI of my shoulder. He was brusque and short during the appointment. He looked at his watch. He checked my range of motion and strength, said I needed rotator cuff repair and that I would be in a sling unable to move for 6 weeks then that it would be 6 months before things felt better, and then told me to call to set up the surgery. I asked if he had a model to show me of what was going on with my shoulder (since this was all new to me); he said he thought there might be a model in the office but made no move to find it. He did not ask me if I had any questions. He did not tell me who to contact if I had questions. He left.I came home and read up on the surgery and it’s a scary one. I have a zillion questions — that I have now taken to another surgeon (who listened well to my concerns, gave me time, and is recommending a different procedure).

Quick and efficient care
This is definitely a surgeon as within 2 minutes of evaluation his solution was to treat the issue with a surgical procedure. His bedside manner was friendly and he's open to patient feedback and input. I'd recommend him for those in need of hand specialist care.

Poor listening skills
I did not feel that the doctor was particularly interested in my concerns. Dismissed half my symptoms and as soon as it became apparent this wasn’t an operable fix, lost whatever mild interest he had in the reason for my visit. Very disappointed as I have had good experiences with many of the staff for prior issues.
