Great Dr and Staff
Dr. Shih and Staff were absolutely wonderful and amazing! I had surgery and he took great care of me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone if they have foot pain.

Doctor and Staff are friendly & professional
I was shocked to see the negative reviews from 2021 & 2022. My experience with Dr. Shih and his office staff was friendly and professional. I had foot damage and my General Practicioner referred me to Dr. Shih. His staff called me and left messages when I missed the call. When I called back they got me in to see the doctor immediately. Dr. Shih was thorough and professional. After seeing my xray, he sent me for an MRI. We went through the MRI results as soon as he received them and we discucssed my alternatives, he gave me a boot, and the form to get a disabled parking permit. I do advise anyone having problems to be your own advocate because you can't expect others to be an advocate for you.

He wouldn't show me the X-rays, until I insisted to see them. He grudgingly answered my questions. He was barely willing to discuss any alternative to surgery. He wrote up the Aurora visit report on the WRONG foot and ankle. After being told that he had to correct the report, he tried to call my EMERGENCY CONTACT because I hadn't answered his call.

Annoyed With Patient Questions
Showed me only 1 of the 6 X-rays & forgot the 2nd issue was the ankle & not just the toe. He was bored with my questions. He taped up my toe & cut off blood supply. Next day, his report was for the WRONG foot/ankle. I messaged him on the Aurora chart, to fix all the errors. He tried to call me. When I didn't answer, he didn't leave a voicemail. He called my EMERGENCY CONTACT, and upset her for NO REASON. Disrespectful SNOB.

What can I say about Dr. Shih??? Just saw him in Franklin. Baby toe is broken in two spots. Outcome....no surgery, no surgical boot or shoe....no taping...oh and no follow-up. He said they do nothing with baby toes like mine. He said to wear comfy shoes, suggested crocks and it should be good in 6 to 8 weeks....and I have two in already. Oh yeah....and he cannot be any more adorable and.....he even did a freebie consultation on my hubbie's feet! He's kind, thorough, answered all of our questions.....he's a gem! 5 stars all the way!

His office staff is the WORST! Mid-day the day before my appointment I get a message that I'll need to have X-Ray of my foot before my 8:50am CT appointment with the Doctor the following day. They couldn't tell me this when I made the appointment two weeks prior?? The one scheduler was arrogant and rude. Bad bedside manner from the get go.

First visit he was rude and cut me off and actually headed towards the door within 60 seconds. I called him out on it and he stayed and eventually apologized to me. Felt VERY rushed. He barely made any eye contact. He didn't even look at my foot till I asked him. Second visit, again didn't even look at my foot until I asked him to. Decided to do an x-ray to see how the foot was healing. Said the next day I'd have the results. It's been 3 days and I am just stressed to find out what is going on. I called the office and he was out so now I have to wait even longer. Doctor grade C* Doctors office personnel grade D X-ray tech grade F kind of mean * doesn't reflect his knowledge only his bedside manner.

I was ten minutes late to the appointment and they stated I had to reschedule. There was one other person in the waiting room. I'm glad that they can make you wait when you are on time but cant get you in when you are a few minutes late. Not flexible at all.....
