He performed a vasectomy on me that didn't work. He told jokes and laughed and laughed with his nurse during the procedure instead of paying attention to what he was doing. Got charged a co-pay to come back and discuss the next steps after his failure. His office charged my insurance company for a urine test at the follow up visit even though it had NOTHING to do with my urine! He was extremely rude, arrogant, and condescending at the follow up. ZERO bedside manner, ZERO empathy, and ZERO respect for me as a person. My wife is a provider in a different specialty and he was even rude to her. I wish I had believed the 1 star reviews! I hope you do what I did not.

Deserves ZERO Stars
Ok, maybe .5 a star because things could always be worse. But our experience with Dr. Witten has been every bit of disappointing. No communication about treatment plan. Impossible to reach for any kind of information. Called the office twice a day for 5 days. Never got a single call back. His bedside manner can be described as arrogant, impersonal, and apathetic. We are appalled that Baptist Health employs him. Whatever you do, avoid Dr. Witten. Avoid him at all costs.

Good experience
My experience with Dr Witten was very good. He actually listened to me. He didn't need to explain much since I had done my homework and knew pretty much about the procedure. It was a pain to get scheduled with him however. But once we decided to have the surgery done it much easier to schedule that with the hospital and the doctor.

Bad cystoscopy experience
It's a bad experience overall. He came 45 minutes late and the front desk staff did not care about the patients and their time either. The cystoscopy was really painful. the pain was not tolerable if it just lasted 1 minute longer. There was no patient education. The doctor and his team seemed to just want to finish everything as quickly as possible.

Suboptimal care
My husband and I went to his post op visit with this doctor. He came into room and said I see you are here to consider this procedure vs. another. My husband looked at doctor and I said do you not remember doing surgery on him 3 weeks ago? Remember you couldn't complete it? He then looked down to his chart Oh yeah I remember. My husband told him that he was not interested in the second procedure and was there any way to re-attempt the initial procedure? He then said he would refer to a partner who could probably complete what he did not and then got up and walked out of the office. What is sad is he never asked my husband how he was doing post op, how was his incision? Did he have any needs or concerns? I and my husband would not recommend this provider to any friends or family.

Dr. Witten was the logical choice for me as his grandfather Dr. Carol Witten was my pediatrician when I was a child. He certainly did not disappoint on top of being ahead of schedule for my surgery he explain things in a way that made it easy for me to understand what he was doing he kept in contact with my daughter and wife after surgery and although I was scheduled to stay overnight I was able to leave and was home by noon at the same day congrats Doc, take a bow for a job well done

Less than one star. My appointment was extremely rushed and impersonal. No empathy, no patient collaboration, no patient education. I left feeling more confused and unsure of my condition than anything, and I regret the time and money I spent attending this appointment. Beautiful office building, but the service is disappointingly lackluster.

Dr. Witten was so awesome! His bedside manner is so calm, kind, and respectful and you can tell that he truly cares about your health and wellbeing. My partner went to him for an Orchiectomy and he and his staff have been amazing! He was very thorough when reviewing everything that happens with the procedure. We Highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a urologist.
