I needed reverse shoulder replacement. I heard horror stories and was quite nervous. I liked Dr Wright immediately. He put me at ease with his caring confidence. Dr. Wright is personable, yet professional.I came through surgery and recovery wonderfully. It was not bad at all. I recommend him highly.

As soon as I met Dr Wright I knew he was the right man for the job. I’ve had several orthopedic surgeries in the past and I just had a good feeling about him. I had a severely torn rotator cuff on my right and got to the point where nothing helped any more. I was lucky enough that he also works at the VA In Gainesville. He told me straight off that they just do the reverse shoulder replacement on old worn out guys like me. I told him I was all in for that. The VA was really back logged so orthopedics called me to tell me I could go elsewhere to have it done and the VA would cover it. I told her that I wanted Dr Wright to do the surgery and she said that was a great move. She was right. I’m 4 months out from the replacement surgery now and I have full range of motion and no longer need pain medication. I’m to the point where I forget I even had it done. It was a little rough for a few days after the but I’d get it done again tomorrow. thank you Dr Wright it was a privilege having you.

I thought a lot about having shoulder surgery. My arm was badly hurt with a full tear. The pain and discomfort didn't let me sleep. Dr. Wright and his team gave me support and reassurance. Believe me, I don't regret it. Dr. Wright performed the shoulder and carpal tunnel surgery at the same time. It was a complete success, I feel good progressing day by day. I have no doubt in the quality, knowledge and his ability as ortho-surgeon. he is the best in central Florida by far. Strongly recommended. Thank you Dr. Wright.

Due to football and military, I have had 13 or 14 orthopedic surgeries. The surgery that Dr. Wright took care of for me, was my most recent (10/12/23), and I wish I could’ve had a man of his talent, mannerisms, and integrity, taking care of every procedure that I’ve ever had. This procedure was fairly radical. I had torn three of my four rotator cuff muscles badly, the subscapularis was completely torn from the bone and retracted. I also had a detached bicep as part of the same injury. There is nothing easy about the surgery, yet it went perfectly. Dr. Wright, and his PA, Shawn Waugh are incredible at what they do, and equally incredible human beings. I will go out of my way in the future to make sure that these men handle anything that I need. From start to finish, Dr. Wright provided me with a complete and comprehensive picture of the process and reasons behind the necessity for this particular surgery. All questions both pre- and post- surgery were answered in an informative and complete manner. At each meeting Dr. Wright reviewed my X-rays with me, providing details of what I should be looking for, etc. No surprises along the surgery and healing process, including therapy. I followed the therapy procedures daily through Dr. Wright's YouTube channel, and could feel I was making steady progress through six months out from surgery. At every follow-up session after surgery, Dr. Wright's assessment of my progress was complete and thorough. My confidence in having this procedure done, along with the end results at 6 months out, made this absolutely the best decision I could have possibly made for my shoulder issues.
