Do not recommend!
I went to Dr. Wolf for Achilles injury because he was in the same office as my orthopedic surgeon. He was preoccupied, and I explained what I was going on and to see about an option. He let me know where his degree was from, very arrogantly ordered PT and a boot with many lifts and left the room. I limped out of there lop sided. This caused me severe knee and hip pain. My PT ordered me lifts to attach to my other shoe. PT went well, and when I went back to Dr. Wolf I gently recommended he give patients options for lifts on the other foot. He was defensive and said he had those. His bedside manner is the worst! The result of my walking lop sided in the boot caused me hip issues and my Orthopedic surgeon was not happy about this. It interfered with my recovery from a knee replacement. PAs in his office will not even go to him for their injuries. Do not recommend!

Second opinion
Ten months after ankle surgery I felt a sharp pain in my upper foot. He sent me in for a ct scan so he could evaluate the issue and said that had something to do with some inflamation or scar tissue below the ankle. After 5 months and two steroid injections the pain wasn't improving. He said that to fix it he would have to do another bone graft surgery to the area. After hearing that I went and had a second opinion. The dr for the second opinion took an exray of the entire foot and found that I had a fractured 4th metatarsal and that what Wolf diagnosed was incorrect. The ct scan that Wolf took was of the ankle not the entire foot so he didnt see it. Weeks before the ct I explained to him and his assistant were the pain was. It's even in his notes on my chart. After walking around on a fractured metatarsal for 5 months I was placed in a boot by the new doctor. Unfortunately it was a delayed union and I spent 5 months in the boot. Now I have arthritis throughout the foot.

Ankle Replacement Surgery
Dr. Wolf is very thorough with his explanation of his diagnosis. He put together a plan to repair my ankle with options and his recommendation. He successfully repaired my ankle that was injured over 40 years ago. He put in a new ankle joint and cleaned up years of bone spurs. I was in so much pain it was hard to walk. Within a few days of surgery I was out of pain. Within 4 months I was walking over a mile a day pain free. I’m golfing again pain free. One of the best ankle specialist in the Treasure Valley. Thank you Dr. Wolf!

Awesome surgeon!!
As a physical therapist, I was SO pleased with both his surgical skill AND his patience and kindness with my wife after she recently broke her left ankle. He was VERY thorough with his explanations when discussing what she and I could expect, and he was very clear about time frames for us to help her get back on her feet and return to an active lifestyle. He had a great bedside manner which seems to be lacking in a lot of surgeons these days (based on some of the stories I have heard from patients I have treated in the past). We would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing ankle surgery. SIDE NOTE: My wife was very pleased that he was able to preserve the look of her tattoo which he had to cut through to perform the operation. It holds strong sentimental value to her and now it still looks great!

One of the best
Dr. Wolf and his office were amazing when I had sustained an ankle injury earlier this year. He explained the need for immobilization and treatment options. He offered me a nonoperative solution when other surgeons may have tried to rush to surgery. I healed up well and owe it all to him.

I was sent to Dr. Wolf after a workers comp injury. He did an ankle reconstruction on my right ankle. He was friendly, down to earth, great bedside manner, etc. He always had time to listen to questions and concerns, answer them. Unfortunately, I still ended up with a lot of pain after, but I blame my body, not my surgeon. I think that it has more to do with the way my body heals, and I am still holding onto hope that with continued at home exercises I will be closer to pain free soon. I will say, I am in WAY less pain than I was before the surgery!! Ankles/feet have a lot of bones and things...I imagine they’re hard to fix. In regards to Dr. Wolf, as a doctor, I highly recommend him. He is knowledgeable, and not full of himself....he actually refused to do surgery on my left ankle until I was satisfied with his work on my right ankle. He ended up switching practices, so I wasn’t able to continue. However, he’s a great doctor. You won’t find a much better doctor around..

Dr.Wolf seemed amazing. Had 8 screws &plate put in due to shattered heel. PT started, ended up not able to my leg down longer than a hour it would turn purple & swell more than it should. When trying to walk, felt like grinding & cutting off blood flow. 2nd surgery within a year of the first one to get hardware removed. Back @ PT again and then work conditioning I knew that I could not return to job @injury and when PT ended they had reviewed all I simulated for job@ injury and they had stated"I believe that its unsafe for him to return to roofing."I got a hold of the(guy)that stated that after 2nd surgery,Wolf said to him,"he won't be able to roof again" That(guy)did work comp for Wolf. I called to find out why i was getting released back to roofing w/o restrictions!? A foot/ankle that can't pivot or roll, along with not able to bend flat footed!Poor decision, release"I THINK,he can return"=single dad no$!@top ladder on to 12/12pitch metal w/o no pivot/rolling or balance in foot.THANKS!

Dr. Wolf is the BEST!!! I'm so glad that ER sent me to him. He is so professional yet listens and does the best in finding ways for your broken ankle to heal. He went above and beyond to take care of all my needs and was available to answer any and all questions. Due to him and his staff's excellent care I was able to heal better than expected, I have heralded his name to family and friends. I cant say enough good about his care.

While Dr. Wolf might be highly skilled, his bedside manner was horrible. The wait was 1.5 hours (while i saw him relaxing in his office), he was completely unprepared for our appointment. He had not bothered to review the MRI results, was dismissive, talked right past me and never bothered to ask meaningful questions or treat me with the dignity a patient deserves. He also took unnecessary x-rays, which he failed to even review them until prompted.

My artificial hip dislocated and I was sent by ambulance to an ER. I was then sent by ambulance to another ER where Dr Wolf had agreed to take over my care. I met him 9 hours into one of the most painful experiences of my life. I was in excruciating pain and had already had multiple staff at another hospital try and reset my leg in the socket. At 4am. Dr Wolf was pleasant, reassuring and confident in telling me he would help. He is wonderful -even at 4am! Thank you so much!!

I went to Dr. Wolf after a rock fell on my hand. Dr. Wolf was extremely thorough. Luckily it wasn't broke but the care he gave was truly of someone who CARES. He waived my co-pay and even offered for me to come back 2 weeks later if it was still bothering me. I have a son who has broke just about every single bone in his body so we've dealt with a plethora of Orthopedists. We will now always use Dr Wolf because never have we felt so comfortable and cared for.
