Terse review of torn meniscus. Not good!
This doctor Jordan Metzl at Hosp for Special Surgery gave my husband a terse 10 minutes of his time. My husband has a meniscus tear in his knee. Metzl offered no solution. The diagnosis was not wrong but since then my husband saw Dr. Haig in White Plains and got a holistic diagnosis and is getting relief and excellent care for arthritis and back problems as well as the meniscus diagnosis. Metzl seems motivated by greed, not compassion.

Always happy to see me.
My annual visits to Jordan Metzl’s office are a pleasure, as since I have to deal with my knee arthritis, I’d rather go to a practice that’s professional. The hyaluronic acid injections are a real game changer. The staff is always happy to see me, & works with me and my out-of-network insurance. Jordan is a positive ray of light and “gets it” with why you’d want to spend a 1-2 hours a day at the gym, & he knows how to advise to keep you active. My goal is to be as active another 30 years. I’m a busy flight attendant & have been published in 3 ladies fitness magazines including a cover in ‘24, and there is just no room for a setback. I don’t have time to slow down. If you need advice on options after an injury or arthritis, go get Jordan’s advice. A 5 star practice for sure:-)

2 minute consultation
If you want a 2 minute consultation, go see Dr Metzl. You might have to wait an hour and a half before he will make his brief entry.

Runners Doctor
DrMetzl is knowledgeable and friendly. He practices what he preaches about exercise and running. He successfully treated both of the problems I came to see him about. Highly recommend him.

Very cursory exam and consultation
My interaction w/ Dr. Metzl felt rushed. He had not looked at my Xrays until I asked him to. His recommendations were generic. I suggest that he reduce his patient appointments so that he takes more time and is more thorough in his care of patients. Just by looking around the waiting room, I could see that he was overbooked.

I took my son to him for a pitching injury. After a two hour wait for an x ray, we finally got to see him. Lasted maybe five minutes. He prediagnosed, barely looked at his arm, and left. This was a long time ago but I can see from the reviews, not much has changed. He is entirely about self promotion.

Never again – May 09, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Metzl?
He ordered an Xray when I visited him for a sprained ankle. The Xray showed a chipped bone. He spent very little time with me (maybe 5 minutes) and did not respond to my request for an MRI. He told me to rest my ankle (no running), A few weeks after my first appt., I continued to have ankle pain so I booked a 2nd appt. He told me I could run/exercise again after our 2nd visit. Two months later, I had a 3rd appt with him because I still had significant ankle pain. He ordered PT but no MRI. I finally switched to a new doctor who ordered an MRI that showed a torn ligament. Exercising/running exacerbated the injury and re-tore it each time I ran. For months now, I have had significant ankle pain and am no longer running. He spent very little time with me during all 3 visits. I would NOT recommend him.

runner who can't run – Aug 11, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Metzl?
One of the best doctors I have ever seen. Besides being a Rock Star in the world of running, he happens to care about his patients as if they were family. I have been seeing Dr Metzl for my knee believe me he truly cares. I would give him 6 stars vs 5 if allowed. #KeepMovingForward Thank You, Scott Orenstein

True story: I saw this guy like 6 years ago when I was just a young adult (about 20) for a hurt back. Waited a long time. Finally saw Dr. Metzl for about 5 minutes or so. During that 5 minutes, he came across as fake (kept calling me "brother") and ordered a CT scan for my back. He said he knew of a great CT place that he was associated with. As an immature spoiled kid, I went right away without following up with my parents about price. It was $3,000 for a mediocre CT place. Quality aside, th
