My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Casal now for a couple years. I was in need of a doctor who would be available when the need arose along with one who is very knowledgeable, attentive, did not rush through the visit, well prepared, someone who truly cares and a good listener, one who is prepared for our visits, thinks out of the box and is very creative , and just an all-around great doctor!! Well, we got what we were looking for and more! We are very happy with Dr. Casal and Aimee his assistant and would recommend him 100% and then some!

Fantastic primary care physician
Dr. Cassal is a superb clinician, I saw him for many years at MGH as my primary care Dr. (where I am also employed) and i thoroughly miss him since he’s moved his practice. He’s kind, highly intelligent, very in tune with the current healthcare system we have in place and always truly looks out for his patients. A great person.

Dr. Casal Is a superb clinician. Not much for small talk, but he has nailed the diagnosis every time, and that's what I care about. Now that Boston hospitals are trading whole records via Epic, he sees my ER visit at Lahey the day after the encounter. And he gets the images, he looks at them, and he adds additional commentary. I've seen him listen for a few minutes thinking I have a bad cold, and then swiftly concluding a sinus infection and prescribing effective antibiotics. My only complaint is he doesn't do virtual visits of any kind (which may be at the direction of Partners Healthcare who make more money when I come in), so I come in even for a simple referral, say to a psychologist. I hope partners changes this... If they want to locate primary care in the densest part of Boston it's going to mean that people like me drive downtown (sometimes in great pain), pay $12 to park, just to get a prescription for painkillers after being released from ER with a fractured spine.

Dr. Casal has been my primary care doctor for the past four years and I have found him to be thorough, caring and concerned for my health. I am a senior citizen and unlike other doctors that I have had experience with, he treats me with the same care and concern as he would treat a younger person. He is not prone to rushing, always takes time to listen and comes prepared for my visit by reviewing my medical records. I am fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Casal has been our primary care physician since 2005 when my wife and I moved to Cape Cod ad he was practicing in Hyannis, MA and later relocated his practice MGH. We were extremely impressed with the thoroughness and completeness of his examinations as well as the detailed notes he took on all of our health issues. He also possesses an extensive network of quality specialists that he can refer his patients to when the need arises. A case in point was when he was examining my wife, he noticed a small lump on her throat and .arranged an appointment with Dr. Douglas Ross, one of the top thyroid doctors in the country. Dr. Ross biopsied the lump on my wife’s thyroid that showed she had thyroid cancer and was about to spread to the rest of her body. Dr. Casal referred us to Dr. Edward Hodin who successfully removed her thyroid and she has been cancer free for 9 years, Dr. Casal is an extremely talented physician who possesses exceptional communications and interpersonal skills and gen

I had a family doctor for 30 years growing up as a kid. After he went private practice, I was in need of a new doctor. Thankfully, I found Dr. Casal right away. He is fantastic. Wish I had found him sooner. Thanks Doc, You're #1 hypochondriac patient! LOL

I have seen Dr Casal for about 20 years, and travel to the city now to see him. I have always had reasonably good experiences with medical providers, but Dr. Casal is unusually attentive. He takes the time to fully explain medical issues, and has gone out of his way on more than one occasion to ensure proper care during emergencies. It is a huge practice, which normally would put me off, but I have always felt like I had a family doctor I could count on.
