Dr. Jorge Leal, MD

Dr. Leal is a thoroughly competent doctor possessing vast knowledge of his profession. He is personable and thorough in all his interactions with both myself and my wife.

My elderly mom was seen by Dr Leal one week ago for leg pain, significant fatigue, and possible cognitive changes. Dr Leal was personable enough, but did not conduct a thorough assessment of my mom's health or complaints. Didn't listen to her heart or lungs. Jumped to ordering ultrasound and CT scan to rule out DVT or mini-stroke. We had these scans done that afternoon. Now 6 days later, we've had no follow-up from him. Left several messages with the office. Even called off-hours and asked for the on-call doctor to call me back. Was told that I would get a return call in 30 mins. A day later - nothing. Surprise, surprise - the on-call doctor was Dr. Leal. This is completely unacceptable and borders on malpractice. I'm sure Medicare would love to know that they are paying for expensive imaging tests without any actual consultative follow-up with the patient. Needless to say, we're actively searching for another doctor that has the time and desire to deliver quality patient care.

It is impossible to get an appointment because the office never answers the phone. The worst thing is, they not only not answer the phone, but when you leave a message for them to call you back, they don't. My mother-in-law is 94 years old and is a patient of Dr. Jorge Leal. She deserves to be seen or at least get called back. This is very frustrating and unprofessional. Dr. Leal do you know that your patients can't get to you because your office people don't answer your phone or call you back?

TERRIBLE OFFICE! THE WORST STAFF, ESPECIALLY KIM THE OFFICE MANAGER. CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PRIMARY OFFICE IF YOU CAN. THIS OFFICE CANT CALL YOU BACK OR EVEN FILL IMPORTANT PRESCRIPTIONS. TERRIBLE PATIENT CARE. ANYONE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES SHOULD FIND A DIFFERENT PRIMARY BECAUSE THIS OFFICE DOESNT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

I found Dr Leal Jr to be kind, professional, caring and knowledgeable during my visit. He answered all my questions I had and made me feel very comfortable talking to him. He took his time and was not rushed during my visit. These are all the qualities I look for in a Doctor. We recently moved to the area and heard numerous recommendations for Dr Leal Jr. So glad we found such a wonderful Doctor!! J Shirley
