I would say Dr Canino saved my life by removing a tumor from my large intestine. Dr Canino called me in his office and told me that they did a biopsy and one lymph nodes had cancer and I was at stage 3. After six months of chemo my oncologist compare all my CT scan and there is no signs of cancer. Dr Canino did an awesome job of removing all he could. Thanks Dr Canino.

Very profesional doctor ,with a big heart. He explain all surgical ricks , pros and cons of the options Presented to us for surgery on my 90 year old father. Kept us informed before and after surgery by FaceTime. He understood what our family was suffering during this pandemic, unable to be present in my fathers time of need. I highly recommend Dr. Jorge Lopez Canino

I had a hernia laparoscopic surgery with Dr Canino, May 23 2017. On May 29 2017 it had to be reconstructed internally and fix folded intestine problems. I began feeling problems in the surgery area between June 2017 to April 2018. I had consultations 3 times. After analyzing CT scans, and visible inspection he didn't find anything - he always said I was in perfect condition and I could live normally. On Nov 18,2018 I consulted Dr. Jeremy Gallego Eckstein he saw my problem and analyzed the same CT scan ordered by Dr Canino found the hernia again, he did my surgery Jan 2019 and now I am okay. During this time I lost my job because of the misdiagnosis and wasn't able to live normally like Dr Canino said.

Long wait time. I took my daughter to this doctor for a consultation. Sadly, he does treat his Hispanic patients differently than his Non-Hispanic ones. Do not recommend if you are not fluent in Spanish. He has alot of experience however he was definitely not a good fit for my daughter. Btw, his reply to his recent patient's negative review, adds insult to injury. Sarcastic and petty.

I visited this doctor last year for a consultation. I had to wait over one hour because his receptionist mixed up my appointment with another patient’s. Two stars are for his wife who is very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, this doctor does have to brush up on his bedside manners. Thankful that I did not have to return.

We met Dr Lopez Canino in 2017 when he was assigned as the surgeon to my husband when at the hospital with a serious health condition. We had never heard of him or met him but we ended up being so thankful to have met him and especially thankful for his attention, kindness and dedication. He’s one of a kind.

Doctor Lopez helped calm my nerves before an unexpected surgery. He was so helpful and informed us with so much care and even made us laugh. I can most definitely recommend Doctor Lopez. I had a very positive and great experience out of an unpleasant circumstance.

This doctor was friendly at first. However, since I struggle with Spanish, I did not care for his passive-aggressive remarks "what a shame that you don't speak Spanish fluently; you should be bilingual" Really? You are entitled to your opinion, Dr. Canino. However, this is the US and the main language is English. What a rude remark to say especially to a patient that was worried about her condition. Fortunately for me, I did not need surgery.

My 88-year old dad went to Memorial Miramar with a bowel obstruction which required surgery to repair. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have met up with this wonderful surgeon, Dr. Lopez-Canino. Along with an infectious, positive disposition he is a superb surgeon. In my book, he's aces! Thank you Dr. Canino for making a difficult situation so much easier with your expertise and caring attitude.

This was by far my scariest experience ever. Having Dr. Lopez/Canino as my Surgent made it an amazing and relaxing experience. His detailing of everything that was going to be done and the way he spoke to both my husband and myself gave me so much peace. He is one amazing Doctor and truly makes you feel as if you where his one and only patient. I feel blessed that God allowed me to have this Doctor. Forever grateful.
