Unprofessional
Listen to the negative reviews. He is a very unprofessional doctor who seems insecure about his own abilities to understand complex medical issues. He has very little respect for the patient and their privacy and comes across as if he believes he is better than others. I do not recommend him. The practice should start to address the many complaints against him.

Dismissive and Demeaning
I wish I had read the reviews before going to Dr. Baez. I came in because my period is very late, I am trying to get pregnant, and have been experiencing pelvic pain and light spotting. I went to the ER last week because I was scared this is an ectopic pregnancy- according to all my research I showed every sign of one, and I was very scared. I told this to Dr. Baez and he literally laughed at me. He told me to never to go the ER because it is wasting their time. I started to cry in the room and he did not respond. He then proceeded to tell me I am not pregnant yet because I do not understand ovulation, quizzing me on the signs of ovulation. Once I displayed that I do in fact understand my body he reluctantly ordered fertility blood testing. He also referred to my husband as "we" (as in all men are trying to get me pregnant). Honestly it was the worst OBGYN visit I have had and a traumatic one. I also have had two other bad experiences at this practice so I will not be returning.

I'm a 55 year old woman experiencing severe pain in my pelvic area. I saw Dr Baez as I was/am very concerned because I've never had this kind of pain before. He told me that I'm "too old to be having any gynecology issues" and that "you're done down there, There's no issues at your age". I've been high risk for certain cancers for many years. Dr Baez is rude and clearly needs to learn that YES, older women ARE susceptible to severe diseases, cancers, etc. "down there". I felt humiliated and left within a few minutes as his exam was quite brief and he said it must be a bone and joint issue. Sorry doc. Not even close. If you're an older woman I would suggest you find someone else. What a waste of time and money, and I'm still suffering with the pelvic pain.

He dismissed my concerns, telling me to “keep losing weight”, while I was suffering from severe debilitating pelvic pain. Turns out after seeing a doctor in Westchester I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis and Adenomyosis after ultrasound and lap. Hopefully he will retire soon and spare other women pain and loss of fertility.

I was admitted to the hospital from the ER. Dr. Baez has horrible bedside manner. He was abrupt and dismissive. After being told by another doctor the previous day that I could have surgery dr. Baez said no and that I would be risking losing my uterus. He said he would discharge me the next day. About an he later a nurse comes in with discharge papers and when she tried contacting him he did not respond. He never even came to tell me he changed his mind and would seem mad me home the same day. I never felt so dismissed and discarded. After telling a friend what happened she said she knew who he was and that he was horrible. He had the nerve to tell me I could follow up with him! Should have been a comedian instead of a doctor.

Reading through these reviews was both relieving (it wasnt just me being crazy) and saddening, i'm another pregnant woman this man has made cry. I don't know what to do because I CANNOT bear the thought of him even touching my baby. He's beyond unprofessional, he's downright mean.

At my 2nd appointment with Dr. Baez, he shamed me about my weight gain (1.5 lbs/week, really quite reasonable with twins in the 2nd trimester), and only looked for 1 of the 2 heartbeats. When I asked him to please look for the 2nd heartbeat, he yelled at the nurses (again) because he had run out of doppler gel. He lectured and shamed me for declining a non-vital test that has decreased accuracy with twins and made inappropriate (and incorrect) assumptions about my faith and religious practices. When I stated that my reason for declining the test was that the geneticist & high risk specialist asserted that any abnormalities would likely be indicated in an ultrasound, and that if I had an abnormal ultrasound I would move to conclusive testing, he proceeded to speak ill of the on-site ultrasound tech (who I have a very good relationship with). Dr. Baez is rude, unprofessional, and has no concern for the ways that his behavior harm his patients or the office staff & nurses.

Dr. Baez has no bedside manner, he is abrupt and insensitive. I’ve seen this doctor twice and this morning he made a difficult situation worse and I ended up crying in the office. He lectured me like a child for trying to conceive the “wrong way” even though I had done everything he advised. Berated me for my “untreated” medical condition and made me feel as if I was lying despite my docs not wanting me on meds at this time. Last thing I want is to deliver a baby with this rude man.

When my husband and I were trying to see if I had a chance of getting pregnant in my late 30's . We paid a visit to Dr. Jose Baez and what a mistake that was. Not only was he insensitive , he was abrupt and just straight up crude. He told me and my husband "my ovaries are shriveling up and dying as we speak" I bursted into tears and left his office in shock , never to return again.

Back in April, I got my annual exam and found out I had HPV. Results were "accidentally" released to me online instead of through a phone call, and of course the medical terms on the lab made it sound much worse than it really is. When I finally got him on the phone, he had a judgmental and insensitive attitude, essentially blaming my "lifestyle" for it. I started asking him questions and he got frustrated with me, said I should "Google it" myself, and make a new appt if I had more questions.
