Negligent
When taking my child to see him about impetigo on his face, Dr. José Berlioz told me it was a staff infection and that despite that he’d already been on a round of both systemic and topical antibiotics, he said, “don’t worry. It goes away on its own.” Staff infections can be deadly when left untreated and what he suggested also lead to antibiotic resistance. This is extremely negligent. I insisted on taking care of the infection and he simply asked what I wanted. I’m not the doctor. He should have taken a scraping to biopsy the infection to know exactly what it was and how to treat it best. He finally listed off a few antibiotics and I got to choose. I would see the nurse practitioner at Safari Pediatrics or try Dr. Christopher Berlioz but I will NEVER put my child in the care of Dr. José Berlioz again.
